Blackberry Keyone Black Edition Review: What the original Keyone should have been
The extra memory stops the Keyone grinding to a halt after a month. The accurate keyboard is a real head-turner in a crowded market and it’s still great value. We raved about the Blackberry KEYone last year. The great performance, price, features and the super-accurate keyboard made for one of the very best phones of the year.
Blackberry KEYone phone: Full, in-depth review
Blackberry just made one of the best all-round Android phones we've ever seen. Who knew? If your smartphone usage leans more towards text than multimedia, you should check this out. In the world of flagship Android smartphones, there are some great choices including the Samsung Galaxy S8, HTC U11 and Huawei P10 Plus. But the differences between them are very small and the innovations that make each one great are subtle and don’t affect usability too much. Still, we had our doubts when a new device rolled up which, at a glance, looked like a regular Android phone with a Blackberry keyboard bolted on to the bottom. We were cynical. Was this a last dying gasp from a company whose platform and hardware had become irrelevant?
BlackBerry KeyOne review
The KeyOne is the best phone we've seen from BlackBerry in years, and one that'll tick a lot of boxes for BB fans everywhere. The problem is whether there are still enough of them out there. With touchscreens well and truly killing off keyboards everywhere else, we're not convinced there's still room for a £500, work-oriented phone that struggles when it comes to entertainment. The KeyOne is a great little 9-to-5er, but just can't seem to let its hair down once the working day is done. Buy the BlackBerry KeyOne here SIM free from Laptops Direct
