I think the biggest problem that the 9380 has is that it doesn't really have a target market, or even a clear place in the BlackBerry lineup. Allow me to explain. First-time smartphone buyers would probably be comparing the 9380 to budget Android smartphones (maybe even an iPhone 3GS too).

BlackBerry Curve 9380 review
I'm a sucker for having a speedometer on whatever device I am using. I have one on my iPhone, Android and even my BlackBerry PlayBook that is dash mounted in the car. Just the other day I realized I didn't have one on my BlackBerry Smartphone and that just wouldn't do.

BlackBerry Curve 9380 review
While BlackBerry maker Research In Motion has a reputation for physical keyboards on its smartphones, it's actually been in the touchscreen business for a long time. Way back in 2008, after seeing the surging success of the iPhone 3G, RIM released the BlackBerry Storm, complete with an unusual...

Not what you'd expect
The BlackBerry Curve 9380 is RIM's first ever-released Curve with a touchscreen. The Curve lineup is usually an expression of RIM's understanding for a budget phone and this one supposedly, doesn't make a difference.

BlackBerry Curve 9380 Review
Quite clearly, RIM is focusing on the touchscreen phone market this year. Phones with touchscreens and QWERTY keypads as well as touchscreen only devices are now available in the Curve range as well. And we think it is a good value for money device. Read on to know why.
Pros:
- Not very expensive
- Sleek and slim form factor
- Classy build quality
Cons:
- OS 7 still isn't completely meant for touch

BlackBerry Curve 9380
The new BlackBerry edition from the house of Research In Motion Limited is like a boon for the economic buyers who crave to have the BlackBerry experience, but dread the cost. Stated to be announced in the month of November, BlackBerry Curve 9380 has been introduced as the entry-level BlackBerry.
Pros:
- Ultra-light
- Offers the true BlackBerry experience

Blackberry Curve 9380
If you're not entirely convinced by touchscreen technology and prefer the tactile response of pushing real fingers on real keys, you may prefer one of the more traditional BlackBerries, such as the Curve 8520 .

Curve Your Enthusiasm - BlackBerry Curve 9380 Reviewed
The Curve 9380 is the first full touch-screen Curve from RIM. RIM is making slow progress towards upgrading their BlackBerry line up, and the full touch-screen display seems to be making its way through each BlackBerry line.
