BlackBerry Bold 9780
BlackBerry still seems to be finding its way in this ever consumer-centric, touchscreen-dominated smartphone world, with its latest touchscreen option, the Torch , getting a mediocre response and the company recently slipping out of the top five smartphone manufacturers worldwide.
Pros:
- Great qwerty keyboard
- Sharp
- colourful screen
- Excellent call quality and battery life
- Class leading messaging interface
- Web browser much improved
Cons:
- Small screen
- Feels like it needs a touchscreen
- Keyboard still favours small fingers
- App store is limited

BlackBerry Bold 9780
The Bold 9780 maintains BlackBerry's excellent reputation as a brand that delivers solid smartphones with excellent personal communication. But is this enough with the competition so hot on the heels of the mighty BlackBerry?
Pros:
- Excellent battery life
- Offers the best unified messaging experience
- Old design still feels solid
Cons:
- Handset design more a refresh than a revolution
- No wireless N support
- Slow web browsing

Average!!
Features such as Keyboard Backlighting, Optical Trackpad, AES, Triple DES Encryption make it quite innovative. Particularly the BlackBerry 6 OS operating system is quite efficient and nice with loads of added features.

The battery: The phone needs to be charged quite frequently, seeing that I use my phone ALL the time Keylock: Phone locks very easily, without you wanting it to.

Is this all RIM can manage to improve in a year? That's OK for now but doesn't bode well in the future.

BlackBerry Bold 9780
The BlackBerry Bold 9780 takes RIM's flagship QWERTY device - the Bold 9700 - gives it a fresh new operating system with BlackBerry 6 and spits out a practically identical handset.
Pros:

- camera is improved
- screen good despite size
- battery life
Cons:
- Poor video offering
- some of BB 6 seems better suited to touch control
- app offering isn't all BB 6 compatible

BlackBerry Bold 9780 review
After using the Bold 9780 for a while though, it's clear that this is a minor update. Very welcome, but unlikely to have Bold 9700 users rushing to break their contracts. With the exception of a dark ring around the edge the handset looks virtually identical to the previous Bold and that's about it.

Amidst the two important milestones known as the BlackBerry PlayBook and Torch for Research in Motion (RIM), it's easy to forget the device that gave the company the breakthrough into the mainstream market – the BlackBerry Bold 9000 . Back in 2008, we had nothing but praises for the first Bold.
