BioShock: Infinite Burial at Sea - Episode One Review: a return to one of gaming's most iconic locations

Needless to say, it's certainly more satisfying to creep up on enemies than simply go in guns blazing, and the game encourages you to try out more tactics, such as using the environment to your advantage.

Intriguing story; Solid combat; Rapture is back

Way too short; Lack of new weapons and plasmids

Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time saves this capable raccoon from becoming history (review)

Sanzaru Games, taking over for original developer Sucker Punch Productions, rescued the burgling raccoon Sly Cooper from obscurity when it released an HD collection in 2010. Now, after almost a decade, we have a new entry in the stealth-platforming series.

Despite the near eight-year gap, fans will immediately recognize familiar traits and ease into the gameplay no matter where the gang's time machine takes them; Like before, Sly evades yellow searchlights that alert guards, uses his Thief Sense to tiptoe around corners or spring to wherever he sees...

These load times would embarrass dinosaurs, and they occur rather frequently; Get ready to take a lot of coffee breaks while you wait for cutscenes and jobs to begin; Maybe it's because I enjoyed playing as the different characters so much and because they're so distinct from one another, but I wish...

Test BioShock Infinite

BioShock Infinite

Massive, beautiful, revolutionary--BioShock Infinite is a remarkable adventure that'll keep you hooked from start to finish... and then from start to finish again.

Elizabeth feels like a real person; One of the most visually captivating games ever made; How the game lives up to or defies your expectations in equal measure

NPCs can feel hollow compared to Elizabeth; The fact that it ends; How racist people were in 1912

BioShock Infinite Review

In 1851, Harper and Brothers published an adventure writer's exploration into a then-modern poetic adventure. Moby Dick initially sold around 500 copies in Melville's native England, less than a tenth of what his previous, high-intrigue island adventures had sold.

What drives a man of God to wash away the sins of his past, only to blacken his heart with a multitude more? How far can a freedom fighter be pushed before virtue and righteousness are replaced by a lust for vengeance?

Columbia is an amazing place to be and explore; Depicts uncomfortable; relevant themes in an effective way; Vigors and skyline rails make for fluid; exciting action; Upgrades make you feel increasingly powerful; Mind-blowing ending that you won't soon forget

Occasional quirks and contrivances disrupt the immersion

A conflicted return to Rapture

A conflicted return to Rapture BioShock Infinite was one of the most polarizing releases in recent memory among the gaming community. While a number of critics lauded it as an apex for Irrational, many fans were left feeling underwhelmed by certain facets of the design, some of which felt like a...

Bioshock Infinite: Burial at Sea, Episode 1 PS3 Review

Bioshock Infinite: Burial at Sea Image © 2K Games My adoration of "Bioshock Infinite" has been well-recorded and it will be even more so as best of the year lists make the rounds. And so I came to "Burial at Sea" with a LOT of anticipation. With that in mind, I was slightly disappointed.

BioShock Infinite (Multi-Platform) Review

BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea - Episode Two

The first episode of Burial at Sea was good, but it felt divided, with one half sectioned off for exploring and the other half demarcated for murder. Episode two not only fixes this problem, it's so well-developed that it almost feels like a full game.
