When it comes down to it though Bioshock Infinite is a labour of love, a staggeringly impressive achievement and an example of the invention and singularity of vision that so many big budget games lack. It is a game everyone should play and that will be written about and analysed for years to come.
In the end, BioShock Infinite , like BioShock before it, is proof that games can be more than just games. It's proof that when a publisher has faith in the talent of its developers and gives them access to the resources they need, wonderful things can happen.
I had a number of problems with the original Bioshock . Barring the fact that it completely fell apart near the end, I didn't really feel like Irrational delivered a truly unique experience once you were past the cool looking setting.
