Worth the wait -- for those who haven't managed to fire up the original game, do yourselves a favor and get the original first. And do yourselves yet another favor once you've completed the first game and skip the sequel and go right into Infinite.
The Bioshock franchise -- the original and the sequel -- were stories of great and awful, sort of like the first two Halloween films and the third film, which was awful; The first Bioshock was incredible and a game-changer.
None, really; My only real issue was the "video margins" -- it's not entirely clear how the lines bounding the vertical and horizontal axes should appear or should be adjusted, but the truth is you tinker a bit and then continue through the game.
If you enjoyed Bioshock 1 & 2 but want something similar that isn't as dark and bloody, this is a great game for you. It shares many of its same flaws, however, and while I feel combat has been improved a tad, there's still a lot of room for improvements.
The game makes some improvements over the previous two games - the respawning has been removed which was my main annoyance about the first two Bioshock games and now you have a big living world - a world which is quite unique and very well designed with gorgeous artwork.
While Infinite does improve upon some aspects of the older games; it makes the same mistakes as well and some new ones to boot
It would have been easy for Irrational Games to make a new installment in the Bioshock series that simply rehashed what they'd already done. The underwater city of Rapture, in ruins and populated with Little Sisters and Big Daddies, was a great locale – unique, visually intriguing, and a prime...
Amazing story; interesting characters
Texture pop-in; too much combat in the game's latter stages
Very cool game. The world and graphics are excellent. The game is very unique and with a lot of exploring and rpg style gameplay-Shooter. I recommend this to any shooter or rpg fan. Just a really beautiful game with a very unique storyline.
It has been just over 2 years since I first bought my xbox, and this game along with it. Since then I have played dozens of games, and let me say that choosing this game as my first was a mistake.
Bioshock Infinite, the third in the Bioshock series albeit nothing to do with the original two Bioshock games-- with an exception for the ending. I'll preface this review that the game has had many issues since I pre-ordered it on release day of March 26, 2013.
Amazing detail, storyline, gameplay, and story line. The game showcases the love Ken Levine and 2K has for their creation.
Graphics
I waited to finish the whole game on PC before writing a review as I am quite a fan of the first 2 Bioshock games. I played with a 360 Controller and it worked beautifully, so this review applies to the Xbox version as well.
The detail that was put into this game is impressive; everything from the graphics to the game play is well done. Each enemy has a unique set of strengths and weaknesses that allow the player to use different strategies in the game.
