Introduction Last year BenQ shook up the wide gamut monitor world with the release of the BenQ SW2700PT 27" Adobe RGB monitor (Reviewed here on my Blog and also on the Luminous Landscape website).

Great display shame about calibration instructions

Arrived on time, nice to set up hardware and attach the parts. Impressed immediately with quality of display and match to prints even without calibration but - far to bright. Calibration is impressive, but with Spyder 5, It just kept reporting out of spec.

major issue on day 1

For such high price this monitor doesn't meet my expectation. On the day it arrives, the brightness and color between left and right side already has obvious difference. The picture doesn't show much of the brightness difference, but you can tell the color tint on both side.

BenQ SW320 Monitor Review

As photographers, we spend quite a bit of time post-processing images. During this process, making sure that we are looking at calibrated displays is extremely important, because it allows us to ensure that the images are edited properly and consistently.

BenQ SW320 pro monitor has more to offer than just a lot of colors

The monitors I want unerringly cost $1,500. That's a lot. I guess I'll just add the BenQ SW320, the company's 32-inch, 4K UHD (3,840x2,160-pixel resolution) display for color-critical professionals to the list of those I'll never be able to afford. What's so special about it? Well, in addition to the essential capabilities you find in other pro monitors -- including almost full coverage of the Adobe RGB/DCI-P3 gamut, typical tolerances of 2 Delta E or less, 14-bit lookup table for performing color-profile conversions and hardware calibration (which means you can store the color profiles in the display) -- BenQ adds a few really convenient features.

The company also adds some useful features for streamlining a color-critical workflow.

BenQ SW320 Review

Built for photographers and graphic artists, the BenQ SW320 ($1,499) professional monitor provides a large screen, a high native resolution, and a wide color gamut. This 32-inch 4K UHD panel can display HDR content, as well. It's larger than the Editors' Choice-winning ViewSonic VP2785-4K ($749.99 at Amazon) and is a good choice for many photographers, but it costs considerably more, while lacking a few features found in the latter (such as a USB Type-C port). A Chunky Look, a Primo Panel The SW320 doesn't give you the sleek, snazzy look of many contemporary monitors, letting the panel itself put forth its resumé. Technically, the screen measures 31.5 inches on the diagonal, putting this monitor in the 32-inch size class. Its beveled bezels (say five times fast!) on the top, bottom, and sides are a rather inelegant 1.25 inches thick, and the matte-black enclosure itself is more than 2 inches thick front to back, giving the cabinet a chunky look. The sturdy base has a rather l...
