I found the quality of the C-3 to be of excellent quality. It handled my voice and acustic guitar with great response. I would highly recommend this product. The price was great.
I bought this Behringer C-3, but is is VERY noisy... I can't use it for anything else than recording hardrock! I think I will remove the PCB and replace it with my own low-noise head amplifier. The C-3 uses a TL072 as head amp, no surprise that you get noise.
I use this with my Icom 718. I run the mike through a Behringer MIC800 for the 48v phantom power and some sound shaping. I have been told by everyone that it sounds much better than my SM-20 Icom mike. Very punchy sound to get through on DX. Helps with pileups.
The Behringer C3 is no doubt the crappiest microphone I ever bought! The noise level is so high that it is almost not usable. Especially in omni and figure-8 mode. Sound quality is also not very good. I own a pair of Behringer B-5 microphones, and they are excellent!
I was looking for a Studio Type Microphone for adding to my Icom IC746-PRO in my Ham-Radio Shack, but didn't want to go to the expense of a HEIL PR40. This Mic in my opinion is equal if not better than what I was looking for.
