Beats Solo 3 Wireless review

The Beats Solo 3 Wireless were the first fruits of Apple's deal to buy the Beats brand – in terms of actual products at least – and the review below represents our initial thoughts when the headphones first appeared in 2016.
Pros:
  • Excellent wireless stability
  • Good Bluetooth-phone interaction
  • Energetic
  • punchy sound
Cons:
  • Firm headband pressure
  • Lack of fidelity for the price

Sound quality and comfort are great, but beware of pinching!

Sound quality is great, but it's really easy to get pinched by these headphones due to the faulty design. These headphones can pinch your fingers and cause you to bleed. Look at the pix. Be careful when using. Beats needs to change the design!

Great product

I bought this product for my teenage son after doing a lot of research. He wanted robust wireless headphones to use in the gym and these were the perfect choice. Not too pricy, easy to use and compact in size, so they were ideal for what he was needing.

BREAK AFTER A YEAR

I've had these pair of headphones for a little over a year. I did enjoy them a bit but I would NEVER buy again. Something that you pay $300 shouldn't stop working in a year. My right ear on my headphone won't work and I have no idea how to fix it. Also the sound in my opinion could be way louder.

Endless Battery

I received these as a 2017 Christmas present and despite some criticism surrounding beats, I absolutely love these. If they are being used for everyday activities ie listening to music, watching netflix, youtube and movies, you will have no problem with these.

  • Light
  • solid build
  • Decent sound quality
Cons:
  • Still lacking some audio refinement
  • Slightly uncomfortable after long periods
  • We want more colours
