Bayonetta 2 review

Unlikely though it once seemed, the sassy witch with the killer heels/hair combo is back, 100% exclusive to Wii U. First-off, let me reassure the original's many fans that nothing's been dumbed down compared to the original Bayonetta .

Beautiful and massively versatile fighting system; Looks absolutely sensational; especially in the latter half; Immense replay value thanks to ranking system; Excellent online co-op side mode

Fights can get so busy you can't make out what's happening; The pacing is poor for much of the game's first half

Last action hero.

Bayonetta 2 never strives to be anything less than the purest, rarest kind of action-game experience, one that values skill, reaction times, and sheer spectacle over all else--realism and storytelling be damned.

Stunningly deep; yet accessible combat system; Outrageous boss battles; Relentless; action-packed pacing; Gorgeous visuals and character design; A bevy of unlockables; challenges; and secrets to uncover

The sad realisation that future action games may never top this

Bayonetta 2

Bayonetta 2 is a smart, confident sequel that knows exactly what it wants to be. It takes a long hard look at the original game, keeping everything sacred intact while deftly cleaving off any and all excess. Every chapter bursts with spectacle and every boss fight thrills.

Bayonetta 2

It took us all of 30 seconds to realise that Bayonetta's world is as crazy as it's ever been. We're battling winged centaurs atop a jet plane as it roars through a city as flocks of bloodthirsty angels fly nearby.

Review: Bayonetta 2 is more of the glorious same

Bayonetta's second adventure offers more of the same peerless action mechanics, barmy spectacle and wonderful depth.

Our witch has lost none of her pitch-perfect pugilism; The series has gained an added sense of style on Wii U; That we get just get to play more Bayonetta

A little of Kamiya's directorial flair has been lost this time

Bayonetta is is a must buy for any action gaming fans. It's fast, intense and ridiculous, all with an entertaining story and a protagonist that is forever subverting and playing with her audience.

Bayonetta 2 Review

If you were to make a bullet point list of facts about Bayonetta 2 and showed them to someone, they would probably think you were a bit nuts (or some weirdo who goes around showing people lists, so I

Accessible; with plenty of depth; Tons of replay value; Intense and exciting combat

The occasional reuse of areas from the original game; Possibly a little too intense for some people

Bayonetta 2 review

The rhythm of combat remains the same, though it's hard to complain when it's riffing off such a heady beat, where chimed enemy attacks are lithely dodged into slo-mo pugilism, where impossible combos culminate with a 20-foot boot weaved from hair crashing from the heavens and where spinning amidst...

Bayonetta 2 starts off in much the same way its original forerunner did; You are dumped in the middle of a chaotic frenzy that instantly brings you as up to speed as you can be in its delightful disorder.

Great Combat System | Visuals that pushed the WIi U | Soundtrack | Value for money

Online feels slapped together

Bayonetta 2 Review

Bayonetta 2 is like a drug. It makes you feel good from the minute you ingest it, to the final minutes of its conclusion. Its vibrant colors will put you in a trance as your character dances across the screen with a flourish of extravagant attacks.
