"A New but Old Frontier for Battlefield"

Battlefield Anew Currently speaking, Battlefield Hardline has not officially hit the shelves but I assure you the gaming community, including myself, has already gotten a taste of the gameplay, as we all log in hour after hour of playtime with the beta.

New Weapons; More enhanced movement; New Team Oriented Activity

Minor Game Malfunctions(Due to Beta Stage

Battlefield Hardline

While I'll play pretty much any kind of game, I tend to frequent the shooter genre above everything else. Sadly, the genre has become increasingly stale, with yearly iterations of the same franchises cluttering up the market with glorified re-skins and very little originality making the final cut.

+ Fun and engaging single player campaign; + Play-style choices in campaign; + Interesting characters; + Same high octane multiplayer you've grown to love; + Hotwire and Crosshair game modes are a worthy addition

- Mediocre ending; - Lack of character development; - Worthless AI; both partners and enemies; - Ease of collectables

Serialized killers.

The felons and thieves of Battlefield: Hardline are like weak-willed vampires. A quick reveal of a police badge and a yell of "Freeze!" is akin to holding up a holy cross in their faces. They surrender despite being armed with semi-automatic rifles, and protected by bulletproof vests.

New multiplayer modes are well-suited to the Battlefield formula; Even if you're not a skilled killer; you can still make meaningful and enjoyable contributions; Outrageous multiplayer stunts energize competition; The arrest system leads to inadvertent hilarity

Seemingly vigiliant enemies are as dumb as bricks; One-dimensional protagonist; Hotwire's small maps encourage repetitive driving tactics

Battlefield Hardline

Battlefield Hardline is Electronic Art's lucky thirteenth release for the Battlefield franchise. The newest release takes the first-person shooter from massive wars between countries to the battlefields of cops and crooks back home.

Battlefield Hardline is hardly a disaster, but it feels like a franchise spinning its wheels with minor adjustments, rather than truly advancing forward. Given the embarrassingly long time spent patching and getting Battlefield 4 up to snuff, maybe a "stable" Battlefield will be enough for some...

I feel ripped off!

SUX. It's more like GTA than Battlefield. STEEEEEEP learning curve for all new controls and sequences. I wasted my money, and actually feel ripped off.

Great game with a good challenge

This is the first battlefield game I've ever bought and how amazing it is!! Really good challenging campaign, but endless entertainment on multiplayer. The maps are perfect sizes with fantastic interactivity. The game modes are thoughtful and fun not simple capture the flag!

Battlefield Hardline review

Multiplayer is still very much at the core of the Battlefield experience, and Hardline is no different. While the campaign has its moments and is a refreshing break-away from the typical run-and-gun linearity from the series' other entries, it lacks that sense of "speed" that is on show in the...

+ Campaign stealth is a welcomed change; + Multiplayer design is still top-notch; + New modes mix new and old well

- The campaign's driving sequences; - Campaign rewards add little value; - Shallow protagonist; - Stealth mechanics often feel too dumbed down
