Battlefield is a popular combat franchise based on rock, paper, scissors style weaponry where there is no úber weapon. Everything is powerful but everything can be countered. The one thing lacking in previous Battlefield games was the single-player game. There was never a strong campaign.

Battlefield: Bad Company Review

For those of you who are ‘console only' folks, a quick history lesson. Battlefield 1942 debuted on the PC on September 20th, 2002. Sporting cooperative team-based play, the game used a capture and hold system to allow players to square off in massive multiplayer matches of up to 64 players.

Battlefield: Bad Company Review

Bad Company is very much the kind of army I could imagine Eurogamer inhabiting. Comprised of all the ne'er-do-wells, workshy fops and insubordinates that you wouldn't even want on your paintball team, we'd be the guys any sensible army would send out as cannon fodder to lull the opposition into a...

Battlefield: Bad Company

Jon Miller lays waste to the destructible environments in Battlefield: Bad Company in this video review. With the release of the free "Community Choice Pack" an extra four maps are now available for use in Conquest mode.

Blowing stuff up has rarely been this fun; Great collection of gadgets and vehicles; Massive 24-player maps; Finally a fleshed-out single-player game; Excellent balance in player classes; vehicle strength; and map layouts

Some enemies in campaign never graduated basic training; Conquest mode not available at launch; Graphics and textures appear grainy

Immersive ambient effects; Kick-ass tank destruction; Variety of level and mission designs

Weak story and characters; Short single-player campaign; Lacking in multiplayer modes

Battlefield: Bad Company Review

In Battlefield: Bad Company, no one is safe. Not a sniper hiding inside a tower. Not a soldier driving a massive tank. And definitely not you, as you bob and weave across a fiery sandbox of destruction.

Battlefield: Bad Company

Remember when you exited the sewer in Oblivion and were treated to a view of a beautiful rolling landscape that stretched off into the distance and filled your heart with wonder and awe? Rubbish, clunky first-generation no-talent fake and repetitive rubbish, the lot of it.
