Battlefield 2142 seems like the game everyone has been waiting for. A chance for EA to release an updated, bug/cheat free update to Battlefield 2, with the new innovative Titan mode and futuristic weaponry – but does it manage it?

Battlefield 2142 is a game that should have been great. The bugs that missed being sorted out pre-release hold it back a great deal and diminish its appeal, which is a shame, as without them it would be excellent. Hopefully these get sorted out soon to allow fans of multiplayer FPS's to enjoy it.

Battlefield 2142 is finally upon us and ushers in a new era of slaughtering random opponents online! The Battlefield series has an excellent heritage: one that many are well attached to and the latest edition meets the high standard set by its predecessors.

Yes, there are some really interesting new bits and pieces in this latest release, and a lot more flexibility for player development. Overall though the game leaves you feeling that the series has lost its direction, and its time to develop a new game engine.
