Battlefield 1 Review

Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war.

Single player is excellent; One of the best looking games this gen; Music is stunning and moving; Multiplayer is lots of fun

Some slight frame rate dips on multiplayer

Small issues aside, Battlefield 1 marks an impressive, risk-taking reinvention for the series. That the multiplayer is as good and distinctive as it is is less surprising than a campaign that takes a difficult setting and navigates it with skill and invention.

Battlefield 1

The timing of the next part of DICE's incredibly popular multiplayer war series could not have been better. The first seeds of what would become Battlefield 1 were sown back in 2008, we were told visiting the Stockholm offices.

Battlefield 1 review: warfare has never looked so good

Battlefield 1 Review

Battlefield's formula for large-scale, objective-driven warfare is as intense and theatrical as ever against the haunting, archaic backdrop of World War I. Battlefield 1's single-player campaign is a short but pleasantly surprising anthology of small, human stories that does a good job spotlighting...

Large-Scale Warfare At Its Finest

When the opposition pushes all of its war assets toward one beachhead, sometimes it's smarter to avoid that fight altogether and make headway by creating another front. While Call of Duty, Titanfall, Halo, Destiny, Gears of War, and many other shooters compete in a sci-fi battle royale, DICE instead...

This is not a review of the game.

why would I buy this from newegg at standard price? seriously? I like newegg. bought lots of things from them. I get every email advert hoping for that perfect deal for next project or upgrade. I see battlefield 1 and click for details. I click. standard price? wtf?

Battlefield 1 – The (singleplayer) Verdict

When EA first announced Battlefield 1 , I had concerns over how they were portraying the Great War. I wasn't the only one who expressed misgivings, and others have put forth their opinion in the past week.
