It's a classic JRPG at heart, but polished and tweaked to end up with something amazing.

Battle Chasers: Nightwar offers an interactive return to a truly revered comic book franchise. The presentation is not always perfect, but it's all underpinned by some very decent RPG gameplay.
Innovative-but-traditional battles; Lots of goals and sidequests; Encourages repeated dungeon crawling
Tiny graphics; Long loading times; Lack of options
Buy Battle Chasers: Nightwar While retro-inspired JRPGs are hardly a rare occurrence, it's difficult to find western developers that can successfully create their own take on a genre that is so beloved.
Battle Chasers: Nightwar on Nintendo Switch is a highly engrossing experience, which JRPG fans, raised on the likes of Final Fantasy and Suikoden, will savour every minute of. In interactive form, Joe Madureria's universe has been brought to life in a whole new way.

Just beat the game and I was surprised of the quality of the game. I didn't know this was a kickstarter game or one based on a comic book (never heard of it). But it was very enjoyable and nice looking. There are some quirks that the game doesn't tell you but the same goes for many other RPGs.

Gorgeous graphics with a painterly feel; Fast-paced strategic turn-based combat; Lots of reasons to explore and replay dungeons; Amazing soundtrack; Familiarity with the comics is not required
Grinding required; Would benefit from an auto battle system
Physical version of the game is a lot cheaper than digital for some reason... as for the game it's absolutely a blast! Gorgeous graphics, fun combat and challenging. I would highly recommend if you like RPGs and turned based combat.
