Batman Arkham Knight: Season of Infamy Review

Rocksteady is one of the most beloved AAA developers in the video game industry right now, not only because they make kick-ass games, but also because they brought the Bat to life like no other game could.
Pros:
  • The new group of villains that Batman will go up against is great
  • Killer Croc, Ra's a Ghoul, Mad Hatter, and Mister Freeze are all classic Batman villains, plus all villains that we have met at some point throughout the Arkham games.
Cons:
  • Mad Hatter as one of the villains was exciting news at first, but the way his story plays out is just plain out boring
  • He had some fun scenes in Arkham City, which was slightly mimicked here, but in Season of Infamy, he is definitely the weakest link

Xbox One Review: Batman: Arkham Knight

Arkham Knight will make you feel like Batman more than any Dark Knight game that's come before, but it's not quite all that it could be. The storyline is very good and well-acted, but pretty predictable for anyone familiar with the Dark Knight mythos, and while the Batmobile is a cool addition to...

Too much Batmobile- Ruins the game

While I don't have a problem playing with the batmobile, the sheer amount of it and the ridiculous racing zones with one shot kills ruins this game. This is not what I picked up Batman to play.

Batgirl has always lived in the shadows of Batman. She's never been given a fair chance to spread her ‘cape' and show just what a fantastic character she is outside of the comic books. Is this finally the opportunity she rightfully deserves?
Pros:
  • You get to punch and kick The Joker
Cons:
  • Far too short | Very repetitive | Not great writing

The Killing DLC

Slightly above average or simply inoffensive. Fans of the genre should enjoy this game, but a fair few will be left unfulfilled.

Batman: Arkham Knight

An ambitious and successful end to Rocksteady's trilogy, with a standard-setting open world you must experience. A superior main story and less Batmobile combat would've made a huge difference.
Pros:
  • One of the best open worlds ever created
  • Freeflow combat and predator sections are better than ever
  • Tag team attacks are fun while they last
  • The sidequests involving Batmans villains are mostly excellent
Cons:
  • Batmobile combat is a big letdown
  • Main story is the series weakest
