When Arkham Asylum came out it blew everybody's expectations out of the water and gave us a truly great cat and mouse chase between The Dark Knight and the Clown Prince Of Crime. It also catered for just about every type of Batman fan out there, from those who just casually drift in and out of his...
Great story; Lots of content; Brilliant crime fighting fun
Nolan North's "British" accent; No Batmobile or Batwing; Co-op might have been nice
A different Arkham, but excellent all the same
Breath-takingly pretty; Batman's even more capable; Plenty of distractions; Yet more variety
The main plot's not as strong
Before Rocksteady's Arkham Asylum pounced from the shadows to wow fans and receive critical acclaim, licensed superhero games weren't considered good. In fact, most of them stank. They stank proudly and without a single whiff of shame. Arkham Asylum kicked the negative stigma out the door.

Action/Adventure BANG! THUD! PEOWW! The sequel to my personal game of 2009, and my most anticipated game of 2011 has finally arrived. takes place about a year after the original and is of a much larger scope than its predecessor.
. Due to the turgid parade of preceding superhero video games, the 2009 title came along with expectations right in the basement, yet Rocksteady Studios surprised everyone with breathtaking level design and sensational gameplay in an atmospheric world so fitting to the planet's greatest vigilante.
2009 Batman: Arkham Asylum was hailed by many as the greatest superhero game of all time, but Batman: Arkham City arguably takes the genre to new heights with the introduction of a stunning open-world setting and more fully-realised characters.
The engaging story, beautifully twisted environments, superb voice acting and deep combat make playing Batman: Arkham City an absolute pleasure. There's tonnes to do and it's all great fun.
