Batman Arkham City

With little exception, superhero games were a bit of an industry joke, known mostly for timely cash-ins and half-finished ideas. That all changed in 2009, when Rocksteady Studios released Batman: Arkham Asylum .

Just as fun as the original; More techniques and animations for Freeflow combat

Less compelling set piece than the Asylum; Confusing plot lacks focus

Batman: Arkham City -- Harley Quinn's Revenge

Remember when you finished the main storyline in Arkham City ( OXM rating: 10) and wished there was more? Well, be careful what you wish for…you might just get it. In this disappointing downloadable expansion, Joker's psychotic squeeze Harley Quinn has turned into a murderously mournful moll in the...

+ Hey, it's more, + Robin is a playable character; offers 250G Gamerscore

Test Batman Arkham City

Batman: Arkham City

Rocksteady Studios simply astonished us back in 2009, with their captivating action adventure, Batman: Arkham Asylum . As gamers grew tired of the whole super-hero (or indeed the 'anti-hero') concept, nobody really expected that a new Batman game would be such a hit.

Everything just feels in place; the visuals; the music; the voice acting; the gameplay; it feels complete in every way

I guess the main story could've been a little longer and the boss encounters a bit more challenging

Batman: Arkham City Review

Can you imagine having the daunting task of following up the greatest superhero game of all time, let alone what is considered one of the best games of this generation? Rocksteady Studios was faced...

+ Great story; + Tons of fan service; + Combat is fantastic; + Plenty to see and do; + Superbly polished

Online pass for offline content; Maybe too many collectibles

Batman: Arkham City – Review (PS3, 360)

Rocksteady Studios learned a lot from its inaugural attempt at crafting an innovative and compelling superhero game in Batman: Arkham Asylum. Some two years in the conceptual and development oven, Batman: Arkham City is sprawling compared to Asylum.

Batman: Arkham City - Harley Quinn's Revenge Review

A Batman's work is never done. He may have dealt with the Penguin, Hugo Strange, the Joker, and the other supervillains who plotted schemes within the open-air megaprison of Arkham, but in the wake of those events, a new threat has arisen.

Plenty of satisfying combat and stealthy action; Some memorable new details in the redesigned steel mill

Interesting story elements are unutilized; Mostly takes place in confined environments; Final boss fight is a dud

Batman Arkham City

" I'm Batman!" It's a familiar quote uttered by the Dark Knight in many of his movies and in various DC comics over the years. If you've ever been a fan of superheroes, you probably remember the Cowled One uttering this line at some point.

Batman: Arkham City

As you win battles, you earn experience points and periodically level up, which lets you upgrade your suit, gadgets, and combat skills. These upgrades have a real impact on gameplay and create a rewarding sense of growth as you advance through the game.

Atmospheric; fascinating world rich with details and secrets; Satisfying; varied; hard-hitting combat; Grappling and soaring around the city is thrilling; Great assortment of involving side quests; Makes terrific use of a host of Batman characters

Boss fights are too easy

Batman: Arkham City - Game of the ...

How good is Batman: Arkham City - Game of the Year Edition? So good that the stellar single-player storyline makes me completely forget about the lackluster additional content on disc 2.
