Review: Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition is the definitive caped crusader experience

If you've already played through the entirety of the game and its DLC, chances are the gamepad functionality won't sway you to re-purchase Arkham City . However, for Nintendo purists who have up until now only had a Wii, or perhaps anyone living under a rock and didn't get to experience Arkham City...

GAME REVIEW – Batman: Arkham City (PlayStation?3)

Batman: Arkham City is the much anticipated follow-up to the 2009 surprise hit video game Batman: Arkham Asylum , once again brought to you by British developer Rocksteady Studios.

Batman: Arkham City Review

I'm Batman . That's the sentiment you'll walk away with after just minutes with Batman: Arkham City where, despite starting out as billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne; apprehended and processed as a "political prisoner" in the crime-riddled sandbox that is Arkham City, you're left, literally, out in the...

Batman: Arkham City

No guano to be found here, you'd be batty to miss this one

If you've ever wanted to be Batman, this is as close as you'll ever get; the best combat engine in an action game ever; fantastic stealth; loads of gadgets to play and fool around with; navigating the environments is incredibly satisfying; lots of great references for fans of the comics, movies, and...

The environment of Arkham City is not as huge as you'd expect; some single-player locked behind code that must be purchased new; once you've been Batman, real life seems that much more bland

Batman: Arkham City Review

To say that Batman: Arkham City is the best licensed game of all time is like saying Oreos are the best chocolate-and-cream sandwich cookies; sure, it's praise, but it's meaningless praise given the competition.

Engaging story with fantastic voice acting; big world with tons of quests and puzzles; smooth-flowing combat and traversal; a Batcave's worth of fun gadgets

Serious DX11 performance issues; can't change settings in-game; three layers of DRM is overkill; no PhysX on AMD GPUs

Next up to Bat

Sometimes, these articles just write themselves. The main thing that sets Batman: Arkham City apart from Batman: Arkham Asylum is something you already know, just from having read this sentence. Whereas the first game was set in an asylum, this game is set in a city.

You are Batman; Plenty to do; Looks great

Games for Windows Live; Not hugely innovative

Review: Batman: Arkham City

Sequels to good games are chancy. Licensed games are even chancier. If you do the math, it seems like a sequel to a licensed game should be a bad idea right out of the gate. Thankfully, Batman: Arkham City bucks these notions and ends up delivering an experience that's every bit as good - if not...

Batman: Arkham City PC Review

From combat to gadgetry, villains to side missions, extra content to different playable characters, and a strong engaging story, Batman: Arkham City has undoubtedly topped it's predecessor and is a definite contender for Game of the Year 2011.

The Wii U-specific additions put a few chinks in the Caped Crusader's costume, but Batman: Arkham City - Armored Edition is still a great action adventure game.

In last year's Batman: Arkham City , the Caped Crusader faced one of the greatest adventures yet in his legendary career. Now, that game has made its way onto the Wii U as Batman: Arkham City - Armored Edition.

Atmospheric; fascinating world rich with details and secrets; Satisfying; varied; hard-hitting combat; Grappling and soaring around the city is thrilling; Great assortment of involving side quests; Includes all the downloadable content from earlier releases

B.A.T; combat mode makes fights less exciting

A great sequel to an already great game. I'm actually surprised they managed to take an already amazing game (arkham asylum) and make it even better. A bigger world to explore, more enemies to beat up (epic fighting system) and in general.
