Batman: Arkham Asylum (PS3) - Review
In the classic debate of Superman versus Batman I have always found myself on the side of the Dark Knight. Sure, Superman could easily beat him to a pulp when you think about it realistically, but what's fun about a super hero who is invincible except for a single weakness?

Batman: Arkham Asylum
Not only a brilliantly authentic presentation of its subject matter but a tremendous game in its own right, Batman: Arkham Asylum is a big, clever and finely crafted experience which propels Rocksteady immediately into the realm of triple-A developers. This year's BioShock. That's what it is.
Pros:
- The superbly
- nightmarishly realized Arkham
- The brutally satisfying stealth and combat
- How right the whole thing feels
Cons:
- A couple of unnecessary
- overly traditional boss fights
- Maybe missing a couple of your favorite villains
- Finally finishing it

Batman: Arkham Asylum Review
Gotham City's justice system is remarkably empathetic. There are few justice systems that would house mass-murdering criminals such as the Joker and believe that instead of incarceration in Blackgate prison, they should be treated in Arkham Asylum.
Pros:
- Great plot
- Batman done right
- finally
- Fantastic character design
- Gorgeous graphics
- Combat trained by Henri Ducard

Batman: Arkham Asylum
Even though everyone (and their mother) seems to love all the latest Batman movies, I haven't been entirely convinced myself. Batman belongs in the world of comics where stories like Year One, Blind Justice and A Killing Joke are good enough for a Nobel prize.

You don't need to be a fan of Batman to enjoy this excellent third-person action game.
You've heard of Batman no doubt, but if you don't read comics, it's conceivable that you might be unfamiliar with Arkham Asylum. The iconic psychiatric hospital is essentially Gotham City's Alcatraz, and it has housed just about every villain Batman has ever tangled with at one time or another.
Pros:
- Story mode really sucks you in
- Uncomplicated combat is fast-paced and looks fantastic
- Tons of cool stuff to unlock
- including Challenge mode maps
- Audio and visual presentation is uniformly impressive
- You won't want to stop playing even after you've solved all 240 riddles
Cons:
- Too tempting to play through the entire game in detective vision mode
- Supervillains that you don't get to fight feel like missed opportunities

Batman: Arkham Asylum
It's baffling that we've yet to see a game that does Batman justice, given how easy it seems to put all the right pieces together. Batman: Arkham Asylum is taking a stab, and aiming for the stars with its wholesale raiding of Gotham history.

Batman Arkham Asylum Review
Already the highest rated superhero video game, is this a sign of the contemporary ratings system or the quality of the game itself?

Batman: Arkham Asylum review
I have to admit that I wasn't particularly interested in Batman: Arkham Asylum in the months leading up to its release. Superhero games have tended to fall somewhere between "OK" and "Not even worth playing if you paid nothing for it", and the only action-arcade game on my radar before the year's...

Batman: Arkham Asylum review
We've been eagerly waiting for this Batman release for some time now, and fortunately we weren't disappointed. Developer Rocksteady Studios has created an exemplary game that, whilst not without flaws, will keep fans happy for months to come.
Pros:
- The gameplay/controls are simple but perfect for what they are trying to do
- Fun story to follow
- The Joker is awesome
- You really feel like Batman
- Lots to do and explore
- Tons of wonderful toys to play with
- Good mix of stealth and combat
- Some fun boss fights.
Cons:
- Riddles and hidden items can ruin the pacing
- Some riddles may make you feel like you are missing something when in fact they cannot be solved/found until you reach a certain plot point
- Lots of boring backtracking to find items
- Gargoyle statues can simplify stealth gameplay a bit too much
