I have quite a few B & O products, however this one, just sounds plain awful!!.......The Bose version of this product is way better!! Im returning it, as it just did not meet my expectations, of what a B & O product should sound like, pass on this one....

I was searching for high quality noise-cancelling IEMs, and chose newly developed BeoPlay E4s (as opposed to that other well known brand that also begins with the letter "B"). I know the Bang & Olufsen brand from other hifi products, so my expectations were high.

Unfortunately, my first issue with these headphones is that the sound quality isn't as good as I would have expected from B&O or for the price. The Active Noise Cancellation (the main feature of this product) doesn't actually seem to cancel much more background noise than just using the headphones...

The B&O BeoPlay E4 have great noise-cancelling capabilities and they look fantastic as well. However, overall sound quality isn't perfect, with a bit too much uncontrolled bass for my tastes. The ANC control unit design makes them awkward and irritating to wear on the move, too.
