B&O Play Beoplay H9 Wireless Over-Ear Headphones Review

If you're looking for top notch audio gear, Bang & Olufsen is one of the first brands that come to mind. Their products are pure luxury. With many of their home audio products clocking in upwards of $10,000, B&O products aren't always something that's accessible to the average consumer.

Beoplay H9 wireless over-ear headphones with ANC

It's something we've had a long held belief for the past couple years now, Bang & Olufsen's Beoplay range will cost you a pretty penny, but this is the trade-off one makes when looking for a great pair of headphones or earphones.

Great battery life in ANC-mode; Good sound quality; Feature rich device

Very pricey

BEOPlay H9 - Wireless Noise-Cancelling Over-Ear Headpone

~::I originally published this review on The Headphone List. Now I wish to share it with my Head-Fi fellows::~ : isclaimer:: I was given these headphones free of charge in exchange for my honest review. They were provided to me by MusicTeck.com.

Enjoyable, fun sound; Comfortable; Elegant design; Highgrade materials

Wireless sound quality still not up to my standards; Controls rarely work right

B&O Beoplay H9 review: Bliss for your ears

Recently we wrote about a Sennheiser headphone that costs way more than a top-end luxury car or even a decent sized house in a metro. That is audio luxury of the kind even music maestros will stay clear of, but those who look at music as their life's calling, or hearing, wouldn't mind spending a bit...

Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H9 Review

Bang & Olufsen's H9 headphones look and sound great, but they're certainly no value proposition.

Deep; rich bass; Gorgeous design; Robust; luxurious build quality; Removable battery

Shorter battery life than competitors; Annoying touch controls; Priciest in their class by a long shot

B&O Beoplay H9 review

Love them or hate them, Beats headphones have normalized purchasing headphones that cost way too much. But with their ubiquity, there are some audio lovers out there who want to stand out from the crowd and aren't afraid of paying a bit more to do so – and luxury brands, like Bowers & Wilkins,...

Stellar battery life; Luxurious materials; Effective noise cancellation

Overpowering bass; No multipoint pairing; Poor value

B&O BeoPlay H9 review: Audio prestige doesn't come cheap, but it's well worth it

It would be too easy to criticise the B&O BeoPlay H9 for the high price and the noise-cancellation being too subtle for some. But that would be shortsighted: because the H9 is a killer over-ear headphone. Indeed, these over-ear cans are better than almost anything we've listened to in 2017.

Very comfortable to wear for long periods; Great sound that's rich across all frequencies; Wide soundstage due to large earcups; Subtle noise-cancellation is great

Battery doesn't last for an age; Bluetooth doesn't disengage when idle; Expensive; Bluetooth too quiet from smartphones (an EU regulation limit; Wind tear is an issue
