Audiofly AF160 Review
Audiofly's AF160 in-canal earphones are intended for the serious listener. The $449.95 (list) price alone should tell you this. It has no bells, no whistles, and no extra features other than a detachable audio cable. Furthermore, it's focused on a specific type of listener: The high-end audiophile who doesn't want gobs of extra bass. Indeed, there is not much extra bass to be had here, and many listeners will find it a bit brittle or weak, but for anyone who wants a pure, flat response this is an excellent offering. There's some distortion at top volumes (a surprise at this range), but it only occurs at unsafe listening levels and isn't necessarily a deal-breaker. The deal-breakers for many will be the lack of robust low-end. Bass fans can stop reading now, but flat-response purists, read on.
