The Audiofly AF120 are clearly meant for music lovers who value accuracy over a more hyped sound signature. If that sounds like you, these are worth a look.
Neutral but very nice sound signature; A wide variety of ear tips are included
Not for those who prefer a more "hyped" sound
The AF120s are no giant killers, but they do a lot of things right. If you are a die hard treble head or bass head, look elsewhere. Similarly, if you are desperate for an IEM to rock out with, you will not enjoy these.
Warmish sound; detailed; good separation; outstanding comfort; value
Too polite for some; could be more exciting
These headphones come at a hefty price but wow. If you can afford them, they are a treat. They come beautifully packaged, sealed in a flip open box. Inside is an amazing carry case. It's a hard-sided case with an elastic closure.
Unique sound quality; comfortable to wear
No pulsing bass (if that's your thing); over ear design my not be for everyone
I bought these as my old Shures were showing their age and I wanted something that was understated yet played the type of music I listen to. I went to the Lancing warehouse and spoke to the guys there and they recommended the AF120's. Now they are 'burnt in' they are simply amazing.
If you live and breathe music, Audiofly's AF120 Hybrid Dual-Driver In-Ear Monitors are for you. Featuring a dynamic 9mm driver as well as a balanced armature driver, these buds pump out serious sound for serious listeners and musicians.
Great sound quality; Gets loud; Cord doesn't tangle often; Many ear-insert options
Uncomfortable over-ear wire design
Firstly I would like to thank Mark over at Hifiheadphones for lending me this sample for review, he suggested 50-100 hours of burn-in, and I noticed very small differences. These were used as my daily headphones for 2 weeks and more, and I will try to write an honest review.
