I use these headphones in recording music and mastering the recordings. I have used many other high end headphones, including other models of this brand. I prefer these headphones to all others because the sounds are clearly heard and no particular frequencies are emphasized.

With a new-and-improved version already announced and arriving on store shelves any day now, the original Audio Technica ATH-MSR7 may be looking a little dated. But thanks to some stellar performance, this $249 headphone's popularity is still holding strong.

I see why these are respected headphones. They are quickly becoming my go to's over others in my collection. I've tried and own a few headphones in the sub $1k range, actually a good variety and they all have their different sounds.
