For the serious gamer...

If your a serious or competitive gamer then this is the monitor for you! My previous screen (now secondary) was an Asus 24" 144hz 3D monitor. However,I wanted to experience 2k (1440p) with the hope it would improve my game play.

dead pixel =(

if you dont need a new monitor asap i say wait for the next lineup of quantum dot/ va monitors with gsync. this one has been out over a year. Still, it is the best monitor in its class if you happen to want something big fast and now.

Minimal backlight bleed compared to others I've seen, Resolution is good; monitor size is great, 165hz works, g-sync is great, the stand is very stable, I can shake my whole desk and it doesn't wiggle a bit

1 dead pixel; but the pixel density is great enough that it's hardly noticeable; i'll have to get over my ocd as you need 4 dead pixels for a return, I do have a 1inch backlight spot in the top right corner; it's honestly only noticeable in pure black scenes

Great Monitor but I'm having a Flickering issue.

Since the purchase of this monitor and using various new display port cables, I got the flickering to stop by using the cable that came with my monitor. The cable that came with my monitor was made by Amphenol #E326508 at only 5 feet in length. I needed 6 1/2 feet of cable for my setup.

Great monitor! No bleeding or dead pixels anywhere; Must have gotten a good monitor; Very sharp display and loving the OSD toggle switch when moving around in the Menus; Speakers are okay if your just surfing the web and for basic sounds

Is anyone getting the same screen black-outs in games Monitor is 4 days old and when playing Anno 2205 or Doom, every 3 to 5 minutes the entire picture or screen flashes on and off repeatidly; I tried to run the games in compatibility mode but I still get the on and off blank screen flashes.

Buy it!

My rig - MSI gaming computer with Intel i7 -8700K CPU @ 3.70 GHz with a GTX overclocked 1070 graphic card. I've tried to keep up with computer technology since the first Commodore VIC-20 and the Tandy-1000 caught my eye.

SO SO SMOOTH!!

I have been considering buying a high refresh rate g-sync 2560 x 1440 monitor for a while now. I previously had a LGUC98 34 inch Ultra Wide monitor which was unbelievably good for immersion, but at just 60hz, not the pinnacle of online competitive gaming.

Asus ROG Swift PG279Q review

There’s a lot of things gaming monitors need to nail to be worth the money. The Republic of Gamers Swift PG279Q does nearly that with it’s 27-inch, 2,560 x 1,440 display, boasting a very low four millisecond gray-to-gray response time, but more importantly, G-Sync compatibility and a maximum refresh rate of 165Hz. That’s the highest we’ve seen yet, and a good 21Hz “better” than the previous maximum of 144Hz. But is the 21Hz jump noticeably better? That’s a key question that must be answered. The PG279Q’s retail price is $800 – extremely steep for a 1440p display, and about $130 more than Asus’ early 144Hz gaming display. In other words, you’re paying about six bucks per extra frame of refresh per second. Let’s see if that’s a good deal. Most monitors are boring to look at, with chunky gray or black bezels attached to drab silver stands. But the Asus’ PG279Q is not most monitors. It combines bezels just a quarter-inch thick with a large, triangular stand neck, and red LED-backlit accent...

Attractive design; Highly adjustable stand; Intuitive controls; Spot-on color accuracy; Insane 165Hz refresh rate;

Limited input options; Gamma is too dark; Expensive for 1440p resolution;

Top Class Monitor

This monitor is a beast. Full 2k resolution with G-Sync makes playing games stunning and the performance is second to none. No problems with dead pixels. Highly recommend this

Dead Pixel

Frankly, i read many reviews about the Quality Control. I Didnt think it would happen to me. Dead Pixel on my screen after paying $700. Only had it for a week. Now, i have to deal with the headache of repackaging, shipping, and perhaps out of pocket expense for returning the product (shipping cost).

The monitor Amazon sent was faulty it had discoloration across the screen from a dirty yellow in the top left hand corner fading to white in the bottom right hand corner could not fix this using the OSD menu or even using the icc file for calibration, obviously a faulty screen had to return it and...
