Top Class Monitor

This monitor is a beast. Full 2k resolution with G-Sync makes playing games stunning and the performance is second to none. No problems with dead pixels. Highly recommend this

After my time with the ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q, I came to fall in love with it completely. I was a huge, huge fan of the original ROG Swift PG278Q, but the PG279Q fixes all my faults with the PG278Q (and it's not like that list was huge). I really wanted to see an IPS-based ROG Swift, so here we are.

165Hz The Next Frontier; ASUS ROG Design; 1440p > 4K; NVIDIA's G-Sync Technology; Not Too Badly Priced

Requires Huge GPU Horsepower for 165FPS

Thanks to the emergence of NVIDIA's G-SYNC, AMD's FreeSync, i.e Adaptive Sync, 4K resolutions and various other display technologies, we've had the pleasure of evaluating a recently. One of our favorites from this past year was the ASUS ROG SWIFT PG278Q.

Asus ROG Swift PG279Q Review

The ROG Swift PG279Q lives up to its flagship aspirations, and sets a new standard for gaming monitors.

Attractive design; Highly adjustable stand; Intuitive controls; Spot-on color accuracy; Insane 165Hz refresh rate

Limited input options; Gamma is too dark; Expensive for 1440p resolution

SO SO SMOOTH!!

I have been considering buying a high refresh rate g-sync 2560 x 1440 monitor for a while now. I previously had a LGUC98 34 inch Ultra Wide monitor which was unbelievably good for immersion, but at just 60hz, not the pinnacle of online competitive gaming.

Dead Pixel

Frankly, i read many reviews about the Quality Control. I Didnt think it would happen to me. Dead Pixel on my screen after paying $700. Only had it for a week. Now, i have to deal with the headache of repackaging, shipping, and perhaps out of pocket expense for returning the product (shipping cost).

Temp. Review: I didn't have the backlight bleed issue so many reported. There is slight glow in the corners (mostly on the top and bottom on the right side) but it's nothing bad or noticeable really, it looks like just how any ips monitor would look but to me it looks better than some.
