Quick Time Events (QTE) are one of the banes of gaming and rose in popularity during the PlayStation 1 into 2 eras. This is essentially the art of pressing a button once prompted during a cut scene.

Asura's Wrath

Asura's Wrath is definitely going to split opinion. Its story-driven approach, heavily reliance on Quick Time Events (QTEs) and limited game/play-time is not going to appeal to everyone. But it's a game that everyone should try at least once.

Asura's Wrath

Asura's Wrath is a pointless, bizarre mockery of a game that will leave you scratching your head from the very first cutscene to the final fight. The game kicks off with a rather confusing cutscene which makes an unconvincing attempt at explaining why some characters from Japanese mythology have...

DBZ fans and dyspeptic adolescent boys should presumably enjoy it

Short; Nothing for a gamer to really do; other than watch long; boring; convoluted and uninterestingly nonsensical cutscenes; Sorry; mythology and sci-fi just don't mix; unless you happen to be the original; Star Wars; trilogy; There is no way you could possibly care about or relate to the...

Asura's Wrath might seem like a game firmly engaged in the throes of an identity crisis. It balances delicately on the line that separates interactive movie from game in an attempt to buck the negative connotations generally associated with the former characterization and its love affair with...

Worthwhile story

Uninspired use of quick time events; Repetitive and lackluster combat system

Asura's Wrath

It's always refreshing to see a new game such as Asura's Wrath hit the shelves – a change from the twentieth Resident Evil or sixteenth Street Fighter, to choose just two lengthy franchises from Capcom's own wheelhouse.

Asura's Wrath

Unfortunately for Asura's Wrath , this is a games magazine and we will therefore be reviewing it as a game. If you are a huge anime fan we recommend you purchase a copy of the excellent publication NEO, where you'll find all the latest news and reviews of wonderful anime and manga products.

"Azura's Wrath"

Azura's Wrath, made by Cyberconnect2 and Capcom, brings a different style to the genre of action and adventure games. Azura's Wrath is a button masher that offers an interactive and entertaining story mode.

Great art design; unique style and story format; entertaining and fun to play

Azura's dialogue gets a little annoying; the game doesn't offer too many hours of story

Asura's Wrath

Asura's Wrath would be almost nothing without graphics and sound, so it's fortunate that it's nearly a first-rate production. Everything is based on Japanese mythology, but there's a barely-concealed cyberpunk aesthetic behind much of the divine stuff; just wait until you see the Brahmastra.

Asura`s Wrath

One thing I've always loved is when you get so proficient at an action game that you are practically unstoppable. When the controls work well you feel invincible, almost god-like, as you cut a swath of destruction through the enemies you face.
