Asura's Wrath Review

" Asura's Wrath " can be frustrating, but some poor gameplay sections apart, the action is compelling, the storytelling excellent, and it adds new life and vitality to the industry by trying something almost completely different. It doesn't always work, but when it does, Capcom will blow you away.

Asura's Wrath

With all the hyperkinetic action and vibrant design of the average action anime, you'd think they'd translate better into gaming. Decades of wonderful series turned into low-budget crap has shown otherwise, but there's always hope that maybe this time, this favorite series will be the one to escape...

Asura's Wrath PS3 Review

Wow… What the hell did I just finish playing! I'm not saying that in a bad way, but more in the vein of the stuff that happens in this game, it's crazy, it's mental and it's INSANE!

Asura's Wrath Review for Xbox 360

As we began playing Asura's Wrath for this review of ours, its implausible imagery, hysterical fighting sequences and a sci-fi yet behind-the-times art sty

better than I expected

Despite this game being designed with every no-no gaming reviewers condemn games over, its not that bad. I was execting to hate Asura's Wrath, but I actually liked it. I'm a sucker for a good story and pretty graphics and it has both.

Price; Has an inspired story; Most of the game is gorgeous; Uses familiar and talented voice actors

QTEs galore; There are on-rails shooting bits ala primitive CD FMV games; The actiony beat-em-up bits vs normal enemies are annoying and repetitive; The action boss battles can be aggrivating; The TRUE ending is basically a commercial to buy the DLC (real ending sold seperately!

Asura's Wrath

Less of a game and more an interactive anime, Asura's Wrath is fairly limited on gameplay. QTE's and a basic battle system intersperse immersive cut-scenes which is the main draw here.

Asura's Wrath

Asura's Wrath is about an angry demigod getting revenge on other demigods for a plot concerning his wife and child. Before anyone calls this God of War with a Greek to Hindu pantheon swap, there are some major differences in story, characters and gameplay.

(Xbox 360 Review) Asura's Wrath

Have you ever wanted to battle a god on the Moon? Squeeze a god into mush? Or maybe just punch a rhino in the face?As disparate as these situations are, Asura's Wrath has them all, and much more.

When Capcom revealed their new IP Asura's Wrath back at the 2010 Tokyo Game Show, everyone assumed they were jumping on the action-adventure bandwagon. Most people, myself included, labeled the game as a God of War-rip-off set in Asian mythology.
