"The only way to go for gamers who want surround sound with chat"
I had been waiting quite a while to buy a headset for my ps3/360 needs. I regularly used my friend's Tritton Ax Pro till it broke and was leaning towards that one instead since the surround is pretty awesome and the price was less than the the Astro.
Pros:
- Clarity
- good surround
- new astro 5.8 mixamp gives you more bass than before with your a40s
Cons:
- Not as much bass for movies/music for movie fans
- Pricey

Amazing! Great Buy!
Amazing! Out of all of the gaming headsets i have owned, ( TB x31, Razer Carcharias, Tritton AX Pro's 5.1), these are by far my favorite and then ones i feel are the best with everything from sound quality to mic performance. The headset works flawlessly and took almost no time at all to set up.

Terrible and broken
I had bought the mixamp and they stayed it would work 100% no issues and I get no boo ice chat and buzzes when powering on do not buy they're selling broken equipment

Perfect for PRO Gaming.
If you play esports/GB these are essential. Even Just for normal casual use these are great. Definite recommended product.

Astro A40 Headset
I got these for my son's birthday and he loves them. I did a bit of research online beforehand as teenagers can be careless. Decent but complicated
I'd recommend these for the comfort and sound quality. The only reason I don't give it a higher score is the annoyance of having to use their software for a headset that should just be plugin and use.
Pros:
- The sound quality is great
- The headset is probably the most comfortable I've ever worn
Cons:
- Setting up the microphone is probably the most cumbersome thing I've had to deal with
- You need to download the Astro software and every time you want to use the microphone you have to start it up, go into the settings and select Stream Once you do that other people will have no issues hearing you.

Top spec headset
With so many headsets on the market for different platform console I asked on social media which headset is the all round best. From around the world it was plain to see that the A40 with mixamp was clear favourite across all platforms! Ordered these, plugged them in and WOW!!
