Review: Astro Gaming A40 Audio Gaming System
If you frequent LAN parties, or an ill-tempered roommate / significant other/ downstairs neighbor disapproves of muzzle fire thundering from your speakers at 4 AM, you might want to give the A40 Audio System a listen.
Pros:
- Comfort, for multiple head and hair sizes
- Clear voice quality is a plus for smack-talking
- Connectivity options to complement most setups
Cons:
- PC gamers won't mind, but wireless La-Z-Boy warriors probably don't want to be tethered to their audio system
- Add every component up and you've got an expensive setup on your hands

Noise sucks! Between my daughter's Hannah Montana impressions, the neighbor's unforgivable Celine Dion obsession, and my wife's lack of empathy for my inevitable gaming glory... I found it very hard to frag or grind in peace.

Astro Studios is famous among console gamers even if you don't know why. It designed the XBOX 360, but can a bunch of design gurus put together a team to build a gaming headset that is worth $250? We have learned that looking cool and sounding great are two different things in our past reviews.

"The only way to go for gamers who want surround sound with chat"
I had been waiting quite a while to buy a headset for my ps3/360 needs. I regularly used my friend's Tritton Ax Pro till it broke and was leaning towards that one instead since the surround is pretty awesome and the price was less than the the Astro.
Pros:
- Clarity
- good surround
- new astro 5.8 mixamp gives you more bass than before with your a40s
Cons:
- Not as much bass for movies/music for movie fans
- Pricey

excellent quality, build,Came with the quality cables
What may set these apart from anyone else is they may actually last a few years, My sen's have lasted 3 years but had nowhere near the sound spectrum nor the ability to track sounds like these. I Prefer these for audio files over the sen's. If they last like most say, they will be worth it.
Pros:
- Great sound even for music and movies that even blew my kids away
Cons:
- It is still a con even though I knew price but the price is steep seeing as you must buy other cables to make it work for pc both a digital cable and usb cable
