Great Headset for a Good Price
I have had Astro's since I was in high school and my old pair that are now eight years old are finally falling apart. So I went with this newer version of what I had, minus the mixamp.

First of all, I'd like to say that I am in no shape or form an expert when it comes to headsets. I've been through my fair share, but I still know very little about what makes a great headset. Typically, headsets that are comfortable and have good sound and mic quality do it just fine for me.

I bought these about three months ago traded in my old Turtle Beach Stealth 420's as they worked good but band dug into my head making them always uncomfortable to wear. The Turtles started to crack at end of adjustment band after having them for a year.

Top spec headset
With so many headsets on the market for different platform console I asked on social media which headset is the all round best. From around the world it was plain to see that the A40 with mixamp was clear favourite across all platforms! Ordered these, plugged them in and WOW!!

"Flipping awesome quality"
I wanted a headset that was good quality and had an easy mic mute – this one ticked all the boxes and isn't a disappointment – sound quality is flipping awesome.

Always been a really good quality headset
Had an older model and my mixamp broke so I decided to buy a new pair. Always been a really good quality headset, old one lasted me three years and I didn't exactly take care of the thing. The earmuffs on this are attached with magnets, makes it really easy to clean the headset.

Decent but complicated
I'd recommend these for the comfort and sound quality. The only reason I don't give it a higher score is the annoyance of having to use their software for a headset that should just be plugin and use.
Pros:
- The sound quality is great
- The headset is probably the most comfortable I've ever worn
Cons:
- Setting up the microphone is probably the most cumbersome thing I've had to deal with
- You need to download the Astro software and every time you want to use the microphone you have to start it up, go into the settings and select Stream Once you do that other people will have no issues hearing you.

PC review, Good Mic or Audio is not a choice i want to make
Beautiful build quality amazing sound quality, however having to choose between high quality audio or a muffled mic due to the mix amp at this price is disgraceful. will be returning these and am thoroughly disappointed with my purchase.
