Assassin's Creed: Syndicate

Victorian London is the star of the show here, and although some old gameplay problems linger, it hasn't been this much fun to wield the hidden blade in years.

Victorian London is an incredible open-world to explore; Evie and Jacobs relationship and script makes them the best Creed characters for years; The level of oh Ill just do this first makes London a complete distraction-fest; Carriages and the rope launcher add some welcome chaos to proceedings

For all of its new content; the traditional mission styles can feel stale

Assassin's Creed Syndicate Review

Syndicate pushes its thick lore into the background and delivers the most fun and focussed Assassin's game in a while.

Assassin's Creed: Syndicate Review | Ubisoft's redemption?

Much like with the series itself, to understand the present we must first look to the past. In this case, we need to briefly revisit the mess that was Assassin's Creed: Unity. There were many flaws with that game, undoing anything of worth being able to shine, and the end result was the worst game...

So; Much; Content, Victorian London is brilliantly crafted, and a wonder to explore, The dynamic between Jacob & Evie is entertaining to watch

… but the game fails to take advantage of the twin's potential until the very end; Performance issues; while not game-breaking; are noticeable; Loading times; especially upon mission failures; can be fairly long

Assassin's Creed Syndicate Review

To make sure that history didn't repeat itself, I went into Syndicate with my expectations low. I admit I was pretty hyped for Unity, and while it wasn't a terrible game, it wasn't a really good one either.

Let's tackle the giant elephant in the room first, performance; The game runs at a way better framerate; Sure, there are still very slight dips here and there when things get hectics, but it's in no way a disaster like Unity was, London is a fantastic setting.

It's clear that Ubisoft had to scale back in the graphics department; While facial animations are still superb, the environment doesn't look nearly as good as it did in Unity; Though, I guess it is a tradeoff for a more stable framerate, Being an open world game, with a pretty massive city, it's...

Assassin's Creed Syndicate is a game for the fans of the series, a step forward when compared to Unity, but not the great comeback that many loyalists were expecting. The real star of the experience is the city of London, which has been carefully recreated in terms of landmarks and atmosphere, and...

London is a great city to explore; New combat system; Interactions between Jacob and Evie

Story is too complicated; Exploration can become repetitive

Assassin's Creed Syndicate is-wait for it-an Assassin's Creed game, with all that that implies. It's a really good Assassin's Creed game, mind you, my favorite since Assassin's Creed II took us to Renaissance Italy way back in 2009. We're in Victorian London this time, in 1868.

I enjoyed this game, it has the Assassin's creed feel to it. It does get repetitive in a sense, but the repeated side quests are level based and throw more enemies at you as you get a higher level. The grappling hook is a great edition, I wish they would keep adding instead of taking away.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate: review

On paper, Syndicate is the best entry in the Assassin's Creed series yet. It's clear that Ubisoft have been listening to criticisms, and have made a real effort to improve things – as well as introducing new elements in an effort to make things even better.

Fantastic Return to Form

I was wary of this due to Unity, although I did enjoy it, it had it's problems. But Syndicate has addressed these and improved remarkably, the game still has the usual problems: you won't jump quite where you want or leap of faith onto the floor etc.
