Assassin's Creed Rogue was a bit of a surprise for me. I expected it to be a bit of a half assed cash grab designed to get people to buy two Assassin's Creed games in one year, but instead what it felt like was a competent follow-up to Black Flag.

Three years and eleven days ago Assassin's Creed Rogue released for the PC. A few months prior the game had also released on the PS3 and Xbox 360 – a sort of consolation prize for last-gen console owners who would not be able to play the new Unity game.
Positives + 4k visual enhancements + Music and voice acting + Converging storylines + Great mix of activities + Every time I set sail
Negatives; Repetitive OCD map clearing; Locked/gated content; Annoying goals for full sync
Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered is a stellar remastering of one of the series most overlooked entries. Though it pales next to Origins, Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered generous, content stuffed and budget priced effort still bears revisiting all the same.
series has been a powerhouse in the gaming industry for a decade now, and despite its success, it's also been somewhat of a Marmite series. This is partly due to the series' yearly instalments doing very little to build on the core gameplay mechanics which were so fondly received in the early days...
Assassin's Creed: Rogue is an apt name for the seventh title of the vaunted Ubisoft series, as it has been a sort of neglected stepchild. Damned by comparison – to the great Black Flag when it was released in 2014, and to Origins now – Assassin's Creed: Rogue Remastered offers slicker visuals than...
Interesting story; Good voice acting; Pirate ship sequences are super fun
Frustrating controls; Open world lacks depth; Some pretty bad Irish accents
Slowly getting all assassins creed on ps4, just love the type of game it is!
On the whole, I have a fairly deep love of the Assassin's Creed franchise. I'm never going to dress up like Ezio, or 100% every game in the franchise, but of the….10 (main) AC games released, I've played 9 of them, and liked about 7 of them, give or take. AC3 and AC: Unity don't count.
An excellent game with a difference. You play as an Assassin Hunter against the Assassins for a change.
Assassin's Creed Unity was a mess. The first release on a new generation of consoles, Unity was broken, buggy, and thankfully only mentioned so that I can pivot to the other Assassin's Creed game released that same year.
My husband has a tendency to play games he's already played to see if he missed anything and when he found out they were releasing this on PS4 he's been itching to get his hands on it. Pre-ordered this and it came the day after release date very happy with the service.
