Sequel to the 2007 original , Assassin's Creed II again follows Desmond Miles's adventures in the mind bending Animus as he escapes the evil Abstergo Industries and once again plunges into his genetic memory.

Assassin's Creed II Review

Assassin's Creed II, like its predecessor, is an ambitious third-person action adventure game with a clever conceit: You're a modern-day bartender reliving your assassin ancestors' adventures. But where the first game fell short-in repetitive, sometimes-monotonous gameplay-the sequel soars.

Tons of things to collect; gigantic, lovingly crafted cities to explore

Ubisoft's infamous DRM--while not quite as awful as feared--is still a pain in the neck

Assassin's Creed II

Don't get me wrong, I love video games, but I find most of them represent junk food for the mind. You pop the game in, you shut your brain off, have some fun, and you don't really come out any richer from the experience.

Deep, educational, epic and well researched story; stellar voice acting; free running engine is phenomenal; brilliantly realised unique environments and setting; overwhelming number of things to do, see, and collect in a massive reconstruction of renaissance Italy; combat has been refined over the...

Too easy to make loads of money; camera can occasionally be a minor nuisance

Review: Assassin's Creed 2 (PC)

The first Assassin's Creed was a very interesting game: historical setting, third-person parkour action, and a plot that couldn't have been sillier if it had been written by Dan Brown.

Assassin's Creed 2

Once again PC gamers have been left in the wake of their console playing friends with a long held back port. This time it's Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed 2, and while the original may have put you off, this is arguably worth the wait.

Great awesome amazing.

This game is just plain fun to play. They made some significant improvements over the original AC game- the maps are much more detailed and easy to use, switching weapons is simple and intuitive, and the open- world aspect grants a lot of flexibility in how you want to play the game.

Very good game

This turned out to be a very good game, much better than the original (more motivation, less repetition), with a fantastic setting. The usual warning about DLC applies, but I didn't have any issues personally.

Assassin's Creed II

Everyone has heard the many complaints of how the first Assassin's Creed was repetitive, and to be honest we are bored with hearing it. Yes, we can agree that it was repetitive, but that didn't stop it from being a technical marvel and an enjoyable experience to boot.

Assassin's Creed II
