Apple's Magic Mouse is the first mouse to support so-called multi-touch : in addition to moving it physically to move the pointer on-screen, you can swipe or run a finger along the top surface of the mouse to get it to do specific things.

The general thrust of Apple's recent developments has been decidedly anti-clutter. Slowly but surely, peripheries have shrunken, flattened, or disappeared altogether. The only real periphery advancements have been the company's minimalist multitouch wonders: the "magic mouse" and "magic trackpad.

Dubbed "the world's first Multi-Touch mouse" by Apple, the Magic Mouse lets users perform a number of functions such as scrolling through photos or documents by swiping their fingers across its touch sensitive surface.

Quite good. Gestures work great. The location of the optical sensor is at the front of the mouse, under your fingertips which may take some getting used to, depending on how you hold a mouse.

This is Apple's newest and first wireless mouse that features Multi-Touch capabilities. First of all the design of the Magic Mouse is incredible and one of a kind, the top surface is glossy polycarbonate and both the sides and bottom are made from aluminum.

Apple has broken its decade-long chain of terrible mouse designs with the new multitouch, wireless Magic Mouse, although its multitouch features are somewhat limited in functionality.
