Apple MacBook Pro 13-inch with Retina display (late 2013) review

The MacBook Pro is Apple's top-of-the-line laptop computer and one that comes with plenty of power. It's available in two versions: the 13-inch and 15-inch, both of which can offer Retina display - as in this model on review - and a powerful spec sheet if you are happy to add a little weight to your...

Powerful; great screen; good design; brilliant battery life

Have been issues with a number of elements (now fixed); not as powerful as some would like; glossy screen; no discrete graphics; this or the Air

Apple MacBook Pro 13in (Early 2011) review

The Apple MacBook Pro 13in may look outwardly identical to last year's model, but it's received some substantial internal revisions - making it faster... yet also slower and shorter-lived.

Apple MacBook Pro 13in review (late-2013)

Refreshed MacBook Pro includes a Retina Display, 10 hour battery life and Intel Haswell power.

Phenomenal battery; Mavericks OS X; Retina Display; Reasonable starting price

No discrete graphics option; Hardware not user upgradeable

Apple 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display review

The new 13in MacBook Pro is still very expensive, but when this year's best model costs just £50 more than last year's, you're getting much more for your money. With a beautiful Retina display, a large SSD, powerful hardware and improved graphics performance, the 13in MacBook Pro stands head and...

Better than my WIndows laptops

"...all synchronise on all my Apple devices via iCloud) and I also liked the fact that it came with iMovie and Garage Band. I also like the new operating system Mavericks, especially its inclusion of Maps and iBooks and Finder Tabs (makes moving files from one folder to another so much easier,...

Ultra portable; more functions than Windows; syncs with other Apple devices

Faulty USB; no single screenshot key; Mavericks caused a couple of problems

AWESOME

This machine is bit high in price as comparing to other..but everything is awesome..battery is bit low while playing video on 10 stops of screen light as it can give up to 220 minutes. But while surfing net and doing other project works you gonna love this machine...!!

backlit keyboard; Light+Thin; Well Built; Fast; No cd rom

Honestly, the display on the 13.3" MacBook Pro is gorgeous. I can see where a photographer might enjoy the Retina Display, and for me, the 1280x800 resolution of the screen on this laptop is perfect. The display is bright, very bright, sharp and has excellent viewing from side to side.

Lightweight; portable; clear display; fast wake up/sleep

Non-upgradeable RAM

Poor service, trading on the name.

Great if you have a device that works properly. I've had mine less than 6 months and Apple Care has to be one of the worst customer service providers going. Be prepared to be on hold waiting for someone to answer for at least 45 minutes each time you call, to wait in line despite having booked an...

Apple's smallest MacBook Pro laptop has plenty of power and a long battery life

The 13in Apple MacBook has gone Pro, with more memory, beefier processors and an embedded battery that outlasts similar-sized notebooks we've tested. We would prefer an option for a more powerful graphics card though.

Fantastic build quality and design; extremely long battery life; multi-touch trackpad; beefy processor and RAM options

RAM upgrades are expensive through Apple; no anti-glare display coating option; battery can't be removed
