Anno 1404 (aka Dawn of Discovery) is all about building island settlements and strategically managing their economies. It's also about conjuring up a sense of another era, when time seemed to move slower and everything looked aesthetically pleasing, especially when zoomed in.

Every so often I fall into a funk with my regular repertoire of games. I just get sick of blasting zombies in Left 4 Dead or I grow weary from kicking the red coats out of the States in Empire: Total War .

I am running a Win7 64 OS, fully patched to current updates. The program doesn't install without errors. I interpret the error messages as corrupted content on the disc. I clicked ignore and expected I could download a patch to correct it.

Incredibly fun; beautiful; cheap; an unforgettable experience

brilliant game, great fun with loads of features, i have been playing it for over 2 weeks and its one of the best games i own, the game really sucks you in and you can end up playing for hours, however the travelling times are way too long, it takes almost 5 minutes for a ship to reach another...

Fun accessible gameplay, coupled with enough options to keep its life cycle ticking over makes Anno 1404 one strategy title that we highly recommend.

Great RTS sim game - very challenging with lots of micro-management tasks as well as missions - can play fixed campaigns or go 'free style'. Game graphics detail is amazing and you are left with many free choices of how to adapt and create your 'empire'.

Anno is back for the fourth time and this time we're setting up colonies in the world of the sultan; Compared to the previous episode, we go back in time, to 1404.
