Grand Amour by Annick Goutal is only sold at the more upscale stores in NYC like Bergdorf Goodmans, and Saks Fifth Avenue. You cannot purchase it at Bloomingdale's they aren't considered upscale enough anymore,(BS),so I'm real happy that it's available on Amazon for half the price of retail which is...

I was curious to smell a perfume by Annick Goutal. Grand Amour had good reviews online. So I bought it. It was amazing. Voluptuous and rich.

I ordered Grande Amour.5oz gold colored bottle with funnel for refilling. I received my order in 5 days and it was new packaging firmly sealed. Honeysuckle, lily, hyacinth and vanilla are prominent..probably more hyacinth than I like. I used up the edp..not my fragrance type.

What is the scent of love? Is it radiant and smiling like Jean Patou Amour Amour , smoldering and seductive like Calvin Klein Obsession , or intoxicating and ravishing like Guerlain Chamade ? For Annick Goutal, the answer is clearly the latter, and Grand Amour serves as a beautiful example.

In my opinion Annick Goutal makes some of the best in modern fragrances. I was given a sample of this and someone I trusted told me that it smelled amazing on me. It is in my opinion a hard scent to wear. And yet when it softens after an hour or two...it is very soft, yet spicy.

Green floral is my favourite category. I like my flowers with the leaves, drops of water and soil in the roots. Grand Amour is one of this pretty green florals that are lacking the mud and a bit of foliage, but on exchange, it has a soulful beauty. Grand Amour starts with hyacinth.
