Amazon Fire HD 10 review review

Sturdy metal skeleton; Big display; Decent speaker for lower-cost tablet;

Very pixellated screen; Often feels a bit slow; Fire OS is a bit overbearing; Feels a bit cheap;

Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019) Tablet Review: A 10-inch tablet at a bargain price

An all-round entertainer. The Fire HD 10 (2019) is one of the cheapest 10-inch plus tablets on the market, with Amazon pricing it at US$149.99. While its pricing precludes the Fire HD 10 (2019) from being a high-end product, it has enough qualities to entertain most people. Read on to find out for whom the Fire HD 10 (2019) is best suited.

a powerful octa-core SoC; Alexa integration; a bright 1080p display; USB Type-C connectivity; expandable storage; the Google Play Store can be sideloaded; long battery life; affordable;

cheap plastic design; Fire OS remains Amazon-centric to a fault; the Amazon App Store is still sparse compared to Google Play; no GPS; bad cameras;

Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019) review: Entertainment pro, minus the big price

The immediate appeal of the Fire HD 10 is for families, with this offering much better value than a premium rivals, with a well-rounded tablet experience. Its strength is entertainment, making it great for travel or as a second screen for movies and TV.

Value for money; Plenty of power; USB-C charger; Good battery life; Great for kids;

The build is very plasticky; App ecosystem doesn't quite keep up with Android;

Amazon Fire HD 10 review: Going big on entertainment

There are few tablets available for £149.99 and few that deliver as much as Amazon is offering in the Fire HD 10. It's definitely a tablet that should appeal to those wanting big screen entertainment, with a definite leaning towards those Prime customers who will have access to plenty of content.

Handsfree Alexa; Great device for browsing; Display looks great (when you avoid the reflections); Price; Excellent parental controls;

Display is very reflective; Dolby Atmos speaker branding is a little misleading; Some flex in bodywork;
