Alpha Protocol (XBox)

Alpha Protocol is a single-player role-playing game focusing on international espionage. In this third-person tactical shooter, players take on the role of Michael Thorton, a character who can be good, bad or just the guy with the gun.

You definatly need to give it a chance

I must admit when I first played this game I would have given it a 1 or 2 star rating, but when you get so far though the game and your decisions start to take effect starts to get really fun, I agree that there are some clunky elements to the game and there are a few bugs, the first mission I...

Alpha Protocol review (X360)

It's safe to say that the team at Obsidian, which was formed by ex-members of Black Isle and which has handled two BioWare sequels, knows its way around an RPG. That same team is inexperienced with action romps, though, and has developed the unfortunate habit of shipping games before they are...

Alpha Protocol Review

If you're going to crib from another game's playbook, you could do a lot worse than tapping Mass Effect as an influence. Alpha Protocol , the new action RPG from Obsidian Entertainment, tries valiantly to replicate Bioware's formula for melding in-depth story-telling and gunplay with a firm...

Decisions affect how the game plays out; Ambitious espionage plot; Choice diversity encourages replay

Largely unlikeable lead character; Gameplay is bland at best; broken and buggy at worst; Plot dullness outweighs ambitions

Alpha Protocol

There are plenty of great moments in Alpha Protocol . In a split second, rouge agent Michael Thorton needs to decide whether to save the life of the Taiwanese president or the hundreds of people in the crowd.

Zuma Review (360, XBLA)

Frog Vs Manic Lottery Machine – Who will survive? It's hard to describe or even hear about the concept of Zuma without raising an eyebrow. Quite right too… For those not familiar with the concept of Zuma, you play as a stone frog that has been given the unique ability to fire coloured balls.

Requires a good balance of skill and intelligence; Genuinely challenging at points

Lots of work for little reward; Inaccuracy in the control scheme can drive you mental

let down!

very dissapointed wiith this game. if your looking for a spy-action game with good guns and a good story i'd stick with the bourne conspiracy. The graphics were good, but the stroy was abit tedious. constant talking and being timed to speak.

Alpha Protocol - Xbox 360, PS3

Weapon-based combat is just dire and gets only marginally better once you gain access to better weapons and improve in certain areas. Furthermore, the targeting system is flawed and inaccurate and the cover system – where you hide behind random objects that enemies can shoot through anyway – is an...

Alpha Protocol

Experienced gamers no doubt recognize the name Obsidian Entertainment. Now, while I respect what these guys have done in the past, I never understood how they never managed to polish their games before launch.

A well-written story; great dialogue mechanics; potentially great RPG experience lurks behind the concept of Alpha Protocol

The game is incomplete; the combat mechanics are flawed; the AI is weak; the awful camera may give you headaches; not to mention there are bugs around every corner; while not entirely unplayable this is still an underdeveloped game; one that should've been considerably more polished or indeed not...
