Test Alpha Protocol

Alpha Protocol Review

Let's say someone's just given you a jack-in-the-box. He then motions for you to crank the handle, so you give it a whirl. Round and round it goes until-boom-out comes a platter with the world's most delicious cake on it. Awesome!

Fast-paced, fascinating conversations; tons of customization and cool abilities

Glitchy, inconsistent stealth and combat; uneven enemy AI; annoying minigames

Tournament of Legends

No one can question the devotion that developer High Voltage Studios shows to the Nintendo Wii. That devotion has not necessarily translated into solid sales yet and the studio's efforts have been met with middling figures for their efforts.

Some fun might be squeezed out of the title by playing with a friend

The game is a mess from top to bottom

James Bond + Mass Effect = Alpha Protocol

Shadowy government agencies, mysterious paramilitary organizations, elaborate schemes that threaten to tip the world into Armageddon, and maybe some gunfights with sexy women with Eurotrash accents... yeah, I like me some spy stuff.

you like James Bond; Mass Effect; and always wished you could have them together

you don't like quirky AI and prefer longer experiences

Disavowed Protocol

Alpha Protocol is one of the best "failures" to come from Sega in quite some time. According to Sega, who published the title, it sold poorly and reviewed too low to be considered a success to the point where any hope of a sequel has been currently cast aside.

Alpha Protocol – PC Review

I will never be Bond. James Bond. That's a certain fact and, as lame as it might sound, it saddens me to tears: no knocking at Halle Berry's door, no super-cars, no gadgets, no six packs to impress the ladies… nothing!

Alpha Protocol – Staff Review

Choice is a popular gaming buzzword, typically code for "you can save the village or burn it down." Rare is the game that gets a handle on the important part of choice, that being consequences; your actions mattering in the long run.

Alpha Protocol review

The combat and final mission are weak, but the story strands that bind it all together are excitingly unique to each player.

Sam & Max 304: Beyond the Alley of the Dolls

Alley of the Dolls, of the Devil's Playground series. Beyond the Alley of the Dolls has a story just as wacky, just as insane as the first three episodes in Sam & Max's quest to stave off the end of the world via the hellish collection of satanic-infused toys in the Devil's Toybox.

Alpha Protocol

I know this may be hard to stomach for some gamers, but delays can be a very good thing. Sure, you'll have to wait a bit longer to get your hands on the title, but it gives the developers more time to fine tune and tweak their product; ensuring a better product.
