Akiba's Trip: Undead & Undressed review

Look hard, eyes squinted, and you'll see the shining place where Akiba's Trip: Undead and Undressed lives. Squirreled away between the playful but predatory perversion of The Benny Hill Show and the coy, celebratory, but abrasively weird sex positivity of Isabella Rossellini's Green Porno is...

Funny; vivid writing; A progressive satire of modern gaming; Sex positive with just the right amount of perviness

Perviness can sometimes get out of hand; Technical issues stand in the way of game's strengths; Only male main character

Akiba's Trip: Undead & Undressed

Good: A solid game that definitely has an audience. Might lack replay value, could be too short or there are some hard-to-ignore faults, but the experience is fun.

Akiba's Trip: Undead & Undressed

Akiba's Trip first garnered attention because it seemed like it would be nothing more than a perverted mess. Most of your time in the game is spent ripping off the clothes of what are essentially vampires.

Left Bare In The Wrong Places

You won't find a stupider or more outlandish premise than the one in Akiba's Trip: Undead and Undressed. Evil vampire-like beings have invaded Akihabara (aka Akiba), Tokyo's electronics district. To defeat then, you rip off their clothes – exposing their skin (and skimpy underwear) to the sunlight.

Akiba's Trip: Undead & Undressed Review – Stripped Bland (PS3/Vita)

Review copy provided by publisher. For information on scoring, please read our Review Policy here .

You get to strip vampires to their undies.; seriously, Great opening theme song, Combat is repetitive yet satisfying

Safe approach to the game outside of zombie stripping; A lot of loading screens around every corner; Rather easy game; even on higher difficulties; Camera angle can be tricky at times; Story and characters deserved much more

Review: Akiba's Trip: Undead and Undressed (Sony Playstation 3)

: Akiba's Trip is almost entirely about stripping enemies, collecting random stuff and exploring a digital recreation of Akihabara beyond all else, and if that sounds like fun to you, this is a game you'll want to own as soon as you can get your hands on it.

Akiba's Trip: Undead and Undressed

I get to talk about nekkid people? YAAAAAAY!!! Typically when I'm sent a game for review, it's with a brief overview of what the game is, like "it's based on an anime" or "it's an FPS.

Sometimes a problematic game can get by on some endearing quality; thankfully, in the case of Akiba's Trip , it features plenty of it and then some. Even if you won't remember anything about the story or find yourself eager to explore the Akihabara district much beyond the first hour, there is...

Surprisingly excellent title

I'm not going to lie - a quick check of my reviews shows how sick I am of the Japanese market letting fanboyism decrease the quality of its releases. Recently, I purchased the new Ar Nosurge title, and what a disappointment that was (and I liked Qoga!).

Akiba's Trip: Undead & Undressed Review

A colourful tribute to an amazing city crossed with some unbelievably bad ideas.
