There's a famous Francois Truffaut quote which states that it's impossible to make an anti-war film, since simply showing the action of war will make the whole endeavor seem thrilling and glamorous no matter the filmmaker's intentions.

Why are there rail shooter segments
Great game, but not for the faint of heart. The action is tight, the visuals excellent, and the required skill level medium to high. the missions get fairly hard even on easy. Play this one through and you will have done something good. Enjoy, OooRah.
This game is not your average flight sim however it does offer a great variety of straight forward air combat feel. The graphics/textures I noticed right away cut in and out at times when raising and lowering altitudes in the sky , a minor issue for a very beautiful looking environment.

Good control; Aircraft selection
Painful story; Repetitive; Claustrophobic

Perhaps the lush green jungles and complex politics are just too much of a pain to apply in any meaningful way so instead we get rubbish like Shellshock and Dice's misguided attempt to translate their winning Battlefield format...
The Vietnam War is a popular theme for war-based shooters, and we've seen a small handful of flight-based games based on the era. Air Conflicts: Vietnam brings the series to the jungles of Vietnam, and is the fourth game in the Air Conflicts series on consoles; the first two games having taken place...
