Love this keyboard

I was tired of constantly reaching for my mouse and was actually getting a sore shoulder. After looking online for either a touchpad keyboard or a trackball keyboard, I decided on the Adesso SofTouch Keyboard. I ordered it one day and it arrived the next day from WalMart! It is more than I expected.

Died after 1 hour

I'm going to return this and try one more, but given Adesso's hit-or-miss history, I won't be surprised if the replacement also dies. I'll repost if it turns out to be a winner.

Having the touchpad right next to the keyboard is wonderfully efficient; The feel of the keyboard was pleasing: keys were not too hard nor too easy to press; I plugged it in, turned on the computer (Windows XP Pro), the device was recognized, and away I went..

...for one hour; I went to try to use the touchpad, and the cursor disappeared, and it appeared that my computer had frozen; When I rebooted, the hardware manager gave me the error message that a device was not recognized and had malfunctioned

Serviceable in Windows 7 - Permanent Vista users stay away!

The biggest issue for me was the huge flip-flop between Vista and Windows 7 the bad start leaving too bad a taste in my mouth to warm up to it just yet. In Vista, it was particularly awful trying to set up because you couldnt hot-swap it wouldnt respond if you tried and you could barely start...

Keyboard is fairly light, thin, and aesthetically neutral - nice looking, but not too flashy; I am still getting used to the arrow keys being displaced as a result beneath the right Shift key, but all in all, I am a huge fan of the placement of the touch-pad - this board knows/shows the value of...

Touch-pad is definitely just a tad smaller than it really should be for this size of a keyboard; Also, the vertical scroll on the right side of it definitely takes a little more patience than the same feature on more modern laptop PC touch-pads - do not expect an HP / Altec Lansing equivalent...

Excellent keyboard to own and use.

I am impressed with the quality of the keyboard, also in it's operation. It is very well made and I would recommend this keyboard to anyone. Excellent purchase.
