Ace Combat has been a staple console-based air combat game since I can remember as it has always provided an arcade like experience with some great aerial dogfight and flight mechanics.
This is a game jam-packed with content. Do you like flying jet fighters, helicopters, AC-130s or bombers? Do you like shooting, destroying things with missiles, hitting the skies as high speeds with non stop action? Try Ace Combat: Assault Horizon!

if you are new to AC series and just like war games this may be for you. But if you are like myself being a fan since the first AC, rent it first to try out before you buy.
New game modes rather than only the jets
AC series is known for its simple control, straight forward game play and rich story line; By now I have not finished the game yet, but it has failed the first 2 points; This is just a drastic change to a old hardcore AC fan like myself.
The video graphics between and during the missions are excellent detail. Compared to previous Ace Combat games, the control of the aircraft is the most realistic so far. The video subtitles and in flight HUD/ subtitles are tiny, so it is hard to know flight bearings,etc unless you are really close...
The game is not a dogfighting simulator, or game in the sense that Ace combat 6 was, rather it is an arcade game masquerading as a member of the ace combat series. The first thing to note is that you can no longer roll the plane, left on the stick is turn left, not roll left: in short you cannot...
