AKG N60NC Wireless

The AKG N60NC Wireless offers a surprisingly competent combination of excellent sound quality and noise cancellation. The headphones are well designed and built, and are much better looking than their competitors. All while sitting at a much cheaper price point.

Great sound; Battery life; Compact design

On-ear form-factor gets uncomfortable; Initially confusing controls

Structural Problem

$250, that is what I spent. What I got was structural design that is beneath what should be excellence from Germanic/Austrian engineering. Firstly everything is great about this headset, and I don't want to take away anything from the fine engineers that did the good stuff.

Fantastic Electronics and Sound

Structural problem turns it into a $250 piece of garbage

AKG N60 NC Wireless Review

As more and more wireless headphones come equipped with noise cancellation, an update to AKG's wired N60 NC seems inevitable. The $299.95 AKG N60 NC Wireless headphones mix Bluetooth audio with the excellent sound quality and solid noise cancellation of their wired counterpart. If noise cancellation is your top priority, Bose still holds an edge with its QuietComfort line. If music is more important, however, these might just be the headphones for you. Design The supra-aural (on-ear) N60 NC Wireless ($99.95 at Amazon UK) headphones look quite similar to the wired model, with plush black leather earpads and a well-cushioned headband. The fit is lightweight and quite secure, despite the headphones exerting very little noticeable tension on the ears or scalp. AKG also makes it possible to get a precise ear-to-ear fit by using the headband adjustor's detents and numbers to match up both sides. The right earcup houses the various controls. A central rocker-style button controls playba...

The AKG N60 NC Wireless headphones deliver strong noise cancellation and wonderful Bluetooth audio in a comfortable design.

Strong noise cancellation; Excellent audio performance; Can be used in wired, passive mode; Comfortable

No auto-off mode to save battery life

Hands On: AKG N60NC Wireless Headphones

These days, air travel just sucks. Seats are smaller, flights are overbooked, computer glitches cause massive delays, and whatever happened to in-flight meals You're lucky to get a tiny bag of pretzel crumbs. Whenever I travel, I always slip on a pair of headphones, and tune out the chaos.

AKG N60NC Wireless Cut the Cord but Not the Corners

I've long been a fan of AKG's headphones. I like their aesthetics. I like their build. Most importantly, I like the tuning that AKG brings to their music products. It simply sounds good to my ears. That's why I was excited to check out the new AKG N60NC Wireless.

Comfortable; Great Sound; Good battery life; Good ANC; Smart control layout

Carry pouch only offers a degree of protection

AKG N60 NC Wireless

The AKG N60 NC Wireless are a pair of on-ear noise-cancelling headphones that come from good stock. The wired AKG N60 NC , released in 2015, are a superb set of cans – and losing the physical connection only serves to make them better.

Excellent sound; Lightweight; Collapsible design; Good noise cancellation

Could have more padding on the headband; No NFC

AKG N60 NC Review – Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones

If you're looking for on-ear wireless headphones, but you have to have noise cancelling technology, the AKG N60 NCs are a solid option. While they are pricey at $300 MSRP, we have seen discounts on them and Amazon regularly goes well below full retail with the N60s, so just keep that in mind before...

Good noise cancellation technology; Love that they are completely wireless - you can also use as wired headphones; Great for travel and office use; Really good battery life at ~14 hours on a single charge

Eventually fatigue your ears, as do any on-ear headphones, Little bass; Higher volumes get distorted; Not amazing audio quality, Cannot use as regular bluetooth headphones with noise cancelling turned off

After quietly returning to the consumer space via a pack-in with the Samsung's Galaxy S8, S8+ and Note 8 smartphones, the Harmon Kardon-backed audio brand AKG is now moving to position itself as a solid alternative to the Sonys and Sennheisers of the lifestyle audio world.

Very comfortable to wear; Battery life a little below par

Noise-cancelling could be better; No built-in mic
