You will hear all of the bad stuff in your mix!

I am completely blown away by the clarity of these headphones. I heard some distortion on my tracks and I was sure that it must be the headphones. I then listened to classical music on a public domain sample FLAC test track site, and sure enough these are truly AMAZING headphones.

AKG K 702 review Review

They're expensive, but the K 702 professional, over-the-ear headphones offer near state-of-the-art sound quality that's only bettered by much more expensive rivals. The extra-soft ear pads are also so comfortable that you're likely to forget you're wearing headphones at all

Super-comfy; over-the-ear design; Excellent sound quality; Detachable headphone cable

No travel bag or storage case included

AKG K 702

A lot of high-end headphone manufacturers like to portray their designs as "professional" models, but in the case of the AKG K 702 that's exactly what it is. These new pro headphones bear a striking resemblance to the company's K 701 consumer headphones, except the new model sports "features...

Super comfy; over-the-ear design; Great sound; Comes with a detachable headphone cable

Doesn't come with a travel bag or storage case; Expensive

AKG K702 65th Anniversary Edition

Unless I have around $500 just for buying a pair of headphone, I don't think I will be giving these up. If you can find these at around $300 or the K712 for a little bit more than $300, it is definitely worth considering, but if you wanted something warm and bassy with great sound resolution, I...

Detailed; natural sound; good soundstage; very comfortable

A little loose fitting..; can't think of anything else

AKG K702 vs. Sennheiser HD650

The much-discussed "veil" of the HD650 is immediately discernable, influencing what sounds like the upper midranges of human voice frequencies. The AKG K702 has a very fast rate of rendition, and this can be heard in the difference in older rock CDs which sound voice-muddled on the HD650.

The first impression one gets of these headphones is of a well built product with great retro styling , they ooze class. When you put them on you immediately feel the comfort with no undue pressure and a nice soft velour ear cushion that holds them firmly in place.

Style; Build; Comfort; Clarity Of Sound

Treble can be a little brittle on certain tracks

A solid pair of cans for music production and mixing

In my very subjective opinion, the k702s are great studio headphones for the price.

-Durable; -Great sound: Natural; revealing; and detailed sound; -Great spatial sonic field; -Detachable cable is always a plus for me; -I got these for under $300; so pretty good deal compared to other headphone of comparable quality

-Kind of "fugly" and Bulky (if you care bout that; -Poor isolation & leak noise; not the best to use in public; but that's not what they're made for; -Sort of inefficient as far as power; you'll need to drive these harder than other headphones

K702's PROVIDE REMARKABLE ACCURACY

I purchased my K702's to use in Professional Reference Situations (ie - Film Post, Recording, Mastering). In my search for a pair of Professional Circumaural, Dynamic, Open-Back Reference Headphones, I narrowed my search to two models. The Sennheiser HD650's and the AKG K702's respectively.
