AKG K702 Review
The AKG K702 are completely neutral open-back reference headphones designed for professional mixing and mastering. They don't emphasize anything. Everything is exactly as it is on your recording.

AKG K702
Excellent sound quality. Experts say the AKG K702 headphones offer some of the most detailed sound among under-$1,000 headphones. Some feel the Sennheiser HD 650 headphones have a slight edge in the low end, while others argue that the AKG K702s are unmatched by even more expensive headphones.
Pros:
- Excellent overall music quality
- Build and design quality
- Works well with low-power devices
Cons:
- Bulky
- Expensive
- No carrying case

You will hear all of the bad stuff in your mix!
I am completely blown away by the clarity of these headphones. I heard some distortion on my tracks and I was sure that it must be the headphones. I then listened to classical music on a public domain sample FLAC test track site, and sure enough these are truly AMAZING headphones.

Pros:
- Super comfy
- over-the-ear design
- Great sound
- Comes with a detachable headphone cable
Cons:
- Doesn't come with a travel bag or storage case
- Expensive

AKG K702 vs. Sennheiser HD650
The much-discussed "veil" of the HD650 is immediately discernable, influencing what sounds like the upper midranges of human voice frequencies. The AKG K702 has a very fast rate of rendition, and this can be heard in the difference in older rock CDs which sound voice-muddled on the HD650.
