AKG K240 Semi Open Studio Headphones
I've used the AKG K240S headphones for a few years now and I remain mystified at all the rave reviews here on Amazon. My experience may be different than some reviews, so I'll explain my approach. I do sound art, composition/production, and I listen for fun.

Great headphones all-around, solid construction!
Note: this review will be a bit oriented as a comparison with the AD700 considering that it is a reference in its class and that is the only other decent headphones I've owned.

AKG D5 Microphone
There are plenty of hand-held dynamic vocal microphones available in the world, and sometimes it seems as though microphone technology has advanced as far as it can. But every once in a while an innovator will make an improvement that advances the technology to a new level.
