Apple is taking the fight to Samsung with its first large screen smartphone, the inimitable iPhone 6 Plus. It brings Apple's famed iOS 8 software to a vibrant 5.5-inch screen, but we fear somewhere along the way the iPhone lost its magic.

I find the iPhone 6 Plus to be large compared to my iPhone 5, but I quickly became accustomed to the bigger size. When I see my iPhone 5 now, it looks like a miniature to me instead of the iPhone 6 Plus looking like a giant. I think the slim form-factor helps with that perception.

We said this in prior years with the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s, but we'll say it again this go around; the latest iPhone (the 6 Plus, in this case) is indeed the best iPhone yet. Not only have Apple's internal upgrades delivered a phone that's fast and a pleasure to use, but its expansive 5.5-inch...

The New iPhone has nothing that can be called new, just some renovations and upgrades in the design, as for the performance, it's good, but there are other devices with much better performance at fewer prices. It cost starts at 800 Euros, which could be priced in Egypt around 7500 LE. Overpriced!

iPhone 6 Plus gets from us an 8.6 out of 10 for design, a 9.7 out of 10 for hardware and a 9 out of 10 for OS and UI. The final grade is 9.1 out of 10 and this is a great phablet, but one with unforgivable flaws.

While the iPhone 6 Plus isn't the cheapest smartphone out there, you get a high-quality large display, great battery life and speedy performance. But the large format won't suit all users.

Apple has long held out against the trend of increasing screen sizes in smartphones, obstinately sticking to the belief that small is beautiful. The overwhelming tide of public opinion however has finally seen the iPhone maker give in - and in a big way.

It is unusually big, but still an iPhone. We miss the familiar perfection of Apple in the case of the iPhone 6 Plus. The poor stability of the case is just one issue. You should not be able to twist the case when you buy a device that can cost up to 1,000 Euros (~$1250).

In the end, the iPhone 6 Plus is exactly what we imagined it would be – an oversized iPhone. And while Apple did little to take advantage of that extra space, it made up for it in other areas, like the speaker quality, battery life, and even performance.

 Fantastic build quality and in-hand feel; Above average camera performance;  Third-party support in iOS is refreshing;  Incredible battery life that should carry most into a second day;  iPhone app/accessory ecosystem still the strongest of all platforms

 iOS 8 comes with bugs and missing promised features;  Call quality took a backseat this year;  The slick build might prompt users to always use a case

Apple offers up another great iPhone but it falls short of surpassing Android handsets with poor iOS software, build quality and design
